I may have commented on this a few years ago, but I just wanted to say that every time I think of my favorite color photo i've ever seen...This is the one that I think about.
Traditionally my favorite is long exposure photography in black and white...But sometimes there is a color photo that absolutely steals you. This one makes me feel something beyond composition, beyond color, beyond what your shooting.
For me, I feel pure emotion, like the best music will do - and i'm sure I will remember this photo for the rest of my life.

How on (or off for that matter) did you get the sky so perfect? You can't have done a selection in PS with all that detail poking into it surely?

I was thinking more of the exposure, or did you manage that perfect exposure in-camera?

I usually get a freaky halo around darker objects when I do the shadow/highlight thing in PS. I tried the Lightroom beta and adjusting brightnes for specific colours worked fairly well there...but I guess n-grads are the best option for skies.

One more great photograph! Great work, you know that yourself! How much post production do you do in your photographs? And how much did you do in this one?

I like the detail of the wheat, it seems a little odd against that tree.
