Here's the final version of the romantic picture I drew with Nizzy and Mary
Nizzy brought a bouquet of beautiful little flowers to Mary and both are blushing 
I know that both Mary's and Nizzy's clothing are a bit different style than they're normally drawn in, but it was too late to fix the designs when I realized it. 
Otherwise, hope you'll like the picture, my friends! 
This picture, of course, does not participate in my own competition , but it's the same theme - I really wanted to come up with a romantic pic with Zik and Mary too, so we can kinda call it a "special gift" type of picture for my awesome friends Angi and Mary. Nizzy and Mary are Animaniacs OCs, Nizzy is (C) and Mary is (C)

One word comes to my mind when I see this! ... And that word is AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how to more you get closer to the heart it gets more brighter! And I love how in the heart there are different kinds of pink blending together!!!!!!!!!! Yep, I typically do extra layers for the background and
text and stuff

Really? I've tried to add text (in a seperate layer) and, for some reason, it doesn't save...

Hmmm... For me it always saves the text in a separate layer...
Make sure you save the file in a format that supports multiple
layers though (.XCF, which is the internal GIMP format). Always
save your work in .XCF until the very last stage when you're about
to publish the picture - then, save it as JPG or PNG or whatever.
That will always combine all the layers together.
