ok, i have pride*snicker* this is one of my favorite fakes i have made, the medallion from the pirates of the caribbean.the base is the tin top of a juice can trimmed to size. the main scull and itty sculls are fimo. wire makes the arrowhead like shapes, the miniature x's, and accents. seed beeds make the teeth and accents. lots and lots of super glue. spray painted with chrome gold, antiqued and then gold chrome nail polish dabbed on the high places to give more glint.
the chain is made from craft wire, every single link made, antiqued, and then superglued for security. there is a circle link that makes it rest just below my collerbone when linked, and a longer adjustment for costuming, etc. the star just adds a nice touch when the excess chain hangs down the back of my neck.

p.s. i've worn this a butt-load of times since i made it a few years ago.. it's a little worn and torn

I NEVER would have thought to use beads and wire to get those accents. It came out perfectly! It looks exactly like the real thing! Excellent job!

i only have one problem with this necklace. the minute i put it on, it's as if i have just written, "yes complete stranger, reach on over here and poke at my body and my jewelry", on my forehead with indelible ink! *snicker* i kid you not! i'm all like, People! Hands! keep them!!

i wore my pirate medallion to school the other day, cause i was feeling all proud and all*lol* well, i'm standing in the bus, ipod on and and reading when this gent reaches, basically into my shirt where my rack lives, and fetches the medallion from where it was next to my clevage. *LOL* um, hi. get your mitts out of my shirt! after about the forty-fifth time of people grabbing at it, as soon as i saw anyones hand going in that direction, i just flashed my hands up, slipped it off, and handed it to them before they got to me! 
i almost wanted to start yelling, people!? hands!! my space!! bubble!!
