For ~refloc for being one of my most loyal readers/reviewers.Illo from chapter 17 of my Bartimaeus fanfic: Nat holding his newborn daughter and feeling rather awkward about it. I don't think it's spoilerish, as those who have seen the coverart know already that he has a daughter in the fic. (Mind you, there are STILL readers who haven't checked out the coverart and are asking me in their reviews 'what does the fic's title mean?'
)Nat's daughter is based on a photo of my mum when she was a baby.
I know Nat's hands are a bit off... oh well. I didn't use a reference for him, and drawing hands is always hard without a ref.

*clears throat* Even though I have never read these books OR your fic, I must say-- Drawing hands is ALWAYS hard, even WITH a referance. Or maybe thats just me.
On another note, I think the picture is really good, and *refer to above statement* the title IS self explanitory. On both the fic and the picture.

His hands look a little messed up. But I love the picture, the baby is very nicely drawn. And I like the name of it. He really does look afraid of the baby.

The baby is adorable, and Nat looks decidedly akward. You're right about his hands though. I think they're a bit too female-ish looking. But good job.
*smothers Agi with love again* Thank you! I shall return the favor with my fic. Sadly, however, I can't seem to get any work on it done, as I'm taking a summer writing class, which has more homework than I have during the school year. But it will be done for you. Just for Agi!

It's through a university, over the web. Lots of work, but kind of fun, and there's only 17 other people in the class, so it's pretty small. The teacher gives lots of good critique. It's like summer school, only summer school is for stupid people who fail class, or overachievers who want more credit. This is a non-credit class, and you have to score in the 99 per centile of the nation on standardized tests to qualify. So it's kind of different.
Anyway, I love you again.

Yes. It's a short fiction workshop, and the professor despises fanfiction (well, not really, just doesn't want it in the class. She's actually pretty nice. Her best friend died in a car crash on the first day of class though, so things were out of wack for a while. I felt very sorry for her. I ended up taking over the class for that week, kind of. Unofficially. I made about 250 posts per day. *very bad, pagestretcher wack*). We're not doing anything as long as the fanfics I write, but the concepts are aplicable to longer fiction.
She's not a famous author, but she has a doctor's degree in several areas of writing, she teaches at the University, and she's had numerous articles and short stories published.

I always thought that the title was self-explanatory. I mean "The Forbbiden Heir," anyone should be able to deduce that he'd end up having a kid with Kitty, which was forbidden.

I can't really draw guys, and definitely not guy hair, but Nat's hair iseasy because it's kind of like drawing my hair, only a lot less curly.
