I also never saw a butterfly like that one... theyΒ΄re all brown or white or yellow, but never with all thse colours

Ooo, so pretty. The only butterflies we get around here are monarchs, or itty bitty white ones. This photo is perfect!

Thanks. I waited for at least half an hour to get a proper photo shot of that butterfly. It just wouldn't open its wings properly... but eventually it did

We have white butterflies too, but I never found them interesting enough to photograph

No, the most common in America is the monarch butterfly, I believe. There's a load of them. We also have these cute little yellow ones that are always flying about. Never seen a red one, but that's just me. This one you took a picture of is very pretty.
