The photo looks good to me, the colors, the focus... Unfortunately I can't do this with my basic compact camera^^

Wow! You did your Dineyland HDR shots with a compact?! That IS impressive! I used a macro lens (probably), selected a rectangle in the middle, feathered the selection by about a 1000 pixels, added a blur at the ages and desaturated the middle. It was a while ago, but that is the most likely process

hehe yes all my photos are done with a 7MP camera, I only adjust the zoom!!
