In a land of ice and snow,
There lived a princess cold and low
Her heart was like a frozen lake,
No love could ever make it break.

Her name was known throughout the land,
As the cold princess, with a heart so grand
But little did they know her pain,
For she loved a prince, but all in vain.

His eyes were like the summer sky,
His voice, a sweet lullaby
She fell for him, with all her might,
But he was never meant to be her knight.

For he was betrothed to another,
And her heart was shattered, oh brother!
But still she loved, with all her might,
Hoping one day, he'll see the light.

But alas, her heart grew colder,
As she watched him marry another
The pain, too much for her to bear,
She closed her heart, and gave up on love's affair.

Years went by, but still she stayed,
A cold and lonely, heartbroken maid
For she had learned a lesson hard,
Not to love too much, or be left scarred.

And so the cold princess roamed,
In her icy castle, all alone
A tragic figure, a cautionary tale,
Of a love that failed, and left her frail.

So heed her story, oh young hearts,
And beware of love's poisonous darts
For not all love stories have a happy end,
And sometimes, it's better to just pretend.
