Well, after a fit of laziness, I got my rear in gear and finished this piece. I still suck at coloring metal and actually making it look like *metal*, but oh well.
Sesshy-sama from the series Inuyasha, by Rumiko Takahashi. ^_^ Yummness.... And I actually know how his obi (sash) ties, thanks to wearing it at Anime Expo this past July. Woot. I may have to put up photos of myself as Sesshy (once I get them scanned, of course).
Done in the same fancy-border-with-title style as my Accolyte piece. My watermark's there twice because I put it on the border, and also on each picture because I save a copy of the piece without the black border and title out of habit.
TD: Mechanical pencil (.5 mm lead) on sketchbook paper, PSP7 and optical mouse.

Ooooh! Fluffy! *squeal* I love this piece here. You did a wonderful job with the line/cg work. Yummness is very correct!
Metal is a pain, yes. I've found that adding some darker 'shading' on the lower portion of the metal work just above where the line is helps too. Also alternating wide/narrow light colour diagonal strips makes it look like it's shiny. Kinda like how you've got it only more square and all the way to the line.
You might need to play around with it a bit though to get the right effect. Hopefully that made sense ^^;;
