Description

Aspen spent her last day laying in the sun in all of her favorite spots. She got a huge banquet of all the foods she hasn't been able to eat but she loved. She got heaps of cuddles and purred plenty. Her last moments were tucked up in a blanket against my chest. She was such a fighter that even the sedative took 10 minutes to work. She didn't want to take her eyes off me. I promised her the other kitties would look after me (they have), and said goodbye.
She was buried in one of her favorite spots with her mouse toy that was as old as her (14), her favorite blanket and her walking harness and leash.

Its sad I only got to really know her in the past 2 years while she has been sick but i'm glad I had the opportunity. She was an amazing cuddler and a fantastic mum to her adopted kittens. They have all grown up to be wonderful cats.
Ill miss you heaps and it will never be the same without you Puffin cat.

Sad face. Poor cat. At least you were there for her.

Well, hopefully it was a nice way out. And now the other guy can have a buddy. ( ahague.deviantart.com/art/Sams… )

Too bad they never liked each other She wanted to treat him like a baby and he hated the idea. I cant believe Ive lost them both in the space of less than a year. They were my first cats

Sad face. Now I feel the need to go pet my cat a few extra times.

Hope you're doing okay without them. At least you can know that you made their lives (and deaths) a lot better

Kitties always need extra pats. What color/coat pattern is your cat?

Ive currently got 3 one year old cats I got when the first cat (Samson) passed away, a 3 month old foster kitten and a 2.5 year old foster cat who was abused most of his life and is now recovering with me (He only bites me sometimes now).
They are doing a good job of keeping me company ...and busy

I actually have a few pics of my cat in my sta.sh --> sta.sh/2sea37map74
He's got not one, but two thumbs on each front paw, and one on each back paw. Crazy big mit-paws. Hahaha

Five younger cats then? Yeah, that's a good herd of energy! Is the 3-month-old one in that phase where it tries to run everywhere and climb everything? They're funny like that. Hahaha

Yes your cat is a tabby! I was hoping he was. I adore tabbies and one with extra toes? Extra adorable. He look sweet.

Only 4 younger cats and one 2.5 year old I'm rehabilitating because he had been abused by his previous owners kid. He is doing very well and even lets me cuddle him for a few minutes without freaking out and trying to rip my arm off.

The 3 month old kitten is super shy but is being cared for by one of the older ones, who came from a hording situation and knows how to care for kittens. The 3 month old has just started running around silly and is all legs. She hasn't gotten her confidence up yet but her kitten crazies are hilarious so far.

Yeah, I love his markings. His mother cat was a very cool looking calico cat. She had the thumbs, and that same circular pattern on her side. When she had kittens, I was excited to see one that looked so similar. He's been my buddy ever since. And he's very vocal. He meows when I walk into a room, or if I talk to him from out of reach. Hahaha

Good that the rehabilitating cat is doing better. At least they're in a better spot now!

Hahaha... "kitten crazies"
They're so funny around then. They start zipping all over the place, just because they can. You just have to be careful they don't end up at your feet when they're that small and wandery!
Cute that it has a buddy, too.

Lucky you got to know his mum. Calico cats are beautiful. The kitten decided my face was a racetrack last night. I'm starting to re-think how funny the "kitten crazies" really are

His mother still lives with my mother, actually. Hahaha
They were just a stray cat when she moved into her current house, and she kinda "adopted herself" in. She was really skinny and a little wild and timid. But she got really nice really quick, from what I saw.

Ack! Facetrack! No fun!
Yeah, I forgot how early the days start for kittens sometimes...

I thought it was a somewhat interesting thing, yeah. Most cats don't get to or want to pick owners like that. Hahaha
