How often do you go? Its more than just going to the gym. Its diet. I don't drink any soda or caffeine. I try to eat healthy as much as possible. cut out fast food. I am at the gym lifting weights 5 days a week and doing cardio.

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-07-30 19:37:20 +0000 UTC]

If you go to the gym everyday doing that much, your body won't grow. You need to let the muscle HEAL and grow bigger before you work it again.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-07-30 21:31:45 +0000 UTC]

so not go everyday? what days go then? 3 times or two? i think its too less.. you dont see anything if you got that low..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-07-31 04:04:49 +0000 UTC]

Actually it's the opposite. Let me tell you how the body works. When you work out your muscles, the muscular fiber breaks, then you need proper nutrition to help rebuild new muscle cells but if you work those muscles everyday, the body doesn't have time to repair the muscle and you just doesn't grow. And the worst is that you can get more fat if you workout too much. It seems crazy but that's how it is. Each muscle group must not be traine more than ONCE a week to grow. you must rest. [link]

once a week , but then i feel useless. what about running ? i can run every day right? or like do cardio?

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-07-31 06:15:46 +0000 UTC]

Well are you skinny trying to get bigger or fat trying to slim down and cut? skinny: do the less cardio you can. Fat: Do cardio to cut fat. HIIT is amazing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-07-31 07:07:19 +0000 UTC]

no im fat trying to get skinnier and more muscled., what is HIIT?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-07-31 14:26:10 +0000 UTC]

Ohh ok then. But it is hard to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. My advice is to lose the fat and THEN gain the muscle. If you try to "bulk up" and then cut fat, your skin will have stretched even more and that is not good. HIIT is high intensity interval training. It's a very efficient way to do cardio. Because if you do regular cardio for too long your body will begin to produce cortisol, a hormone used to stock fat and that is again no good . Try to cut the most artificial sugar you can and the cereals too. You can do HIIT everyday. But you also need to train each group of muscle once a week to KEEP their size otherwise they will melt with the fat. I hope it helps.

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-07-31 18:58:15 +0000 UTC]

True is that, i would like firstly to lose the fat but its a neverending struggle since childhood. i need to lose atleast 20kg, but since the effort to do that didnt work out that great, the girl working in the gym told me to build up muscle first cause muscle burns fat or something, which is what i try to do, i take alot of supplements... perhaps only 5 months is not enough to see result though i am gonna continue atleast 2-3 years.. i wanna be sexy .. atlast

cardio is cool, with cardio i understand foremost running then biking and the rest.. running makes me feel good today i ran like 6.5km which was like 50 minutes..

cutting food is hard since i live on a tight budget, healthy lifestyle is expensive, Hitt sounds intresting.. I hate the coritsol thing, i you sure? damn so basically no matter what you try..pfff makes me feel tired

i wanna thank you i didnt do this yet for all the info you are sharing

There's a lot of myths and misconceptions about working out. Yes muscles burn calories, but it's VERY minimal :S. You must sleep enough though. There's this website I found this year that clears things up. It was a pleasure to help you, I wish you the best success with your transformation! It's worth it. I began working out this years and I was beggining to se results (I'm pure ecto, very thin) but I injured myself and I had to stop. Last year I got a surgery for a sunken chest and I have this metal bar in my chest for one year still. and now I lost everything I gained but whatever i'll continue next year!

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-08-01 11:01:34 +0000 UTC]

I thought muscles burn calories to, i mean it does make logic and sense you know, i hardly doubt that this is wrong. the more muscle you have the more you can lift and do excersizes and since alot of muscle need energy with a diet you would lose weight idk...

i thank you.. i wish you succes too, although i do have to say that you are in a better position then i am. im fat and you are not. well if you would work out on you chest and arms. you would be wonderfull with a tiny waistline.. which i do not have.. sinse i have a belly and love handles.. even if i would work in the same region i would look well like a beef -_-

dont worry those are minor fallbacks.. i do to have alot of pains in joints in leg and feet areas.. but i mean it just shows that we are living and alive and well.. its better then doing nothing.. even if you wouldnt see any results, doing sports is never bad

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-05 03:49:15 +0000 UTC]

Sorry I replied earlier this week but I lost all the comment so I was like HELLLL NO I ain't gonna write all this again lol. So to sum it up: Yes muscles burn calories but it's very minimal and it is not high enough for fat loss.

The fact that I'm ecto leaves me with a very thin skeleton and I could look like a fashion model or a swimmer with work but if you lose all the love handles you will get a great V shape figure! By the way it's impossible to lose fat in a localised way. Doing 1000 crunches won't melt the fat on top, it will ruin and fatigue your abs. Fat loss is for the whole body by a calorie deficit and sadly belly fat is the last to go.

and you're right! Doing sport (in a healthy way) is never bad. It improves the health

Hmm intresting.. sorry i was away.. i really am desperate though, i use alot of supplements and do not skip the gym thing.. i know it will take over a year and probably more then just a moment of time.. but like for instance now my feeling says i need to stop eating for like a month or two and lose alot of fat and muscle weight.. and then start muscle gaining.. back.. offcourse continuing the sport factor.. man im so lost.. i just dont know wtf im doing but i do know i need to do shit before it is too damn late right

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-16 17:16:53 +0000 UTC]

Don't be desperate. It always pays off to see a (good) trainer and nutritionnist. What I know though is that sugar is a poison that keeps you from beeing healthy. But I'm not a training pro, so you should meet someone who is very good and stick to one formula .

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-08-16 21:15:56 +0000 UTC]

Dude i really am.. so bad that my mood is totally shitty believe me its bad ...
either way i do am going to try to convince myself for the non eating diet.. for first two weeks cause weightloss starts after two weeks of not eating .. so yeh gonna be two hard months its the least i can say..
healthy didnt work out.. ive been eating good taking supplements and excersizing.. but only had a bit of muscle gain.. nothing else.. which sucked bigtime.. and for that training pro money is out of the question, it is one thing i do not have.. desperation at its best..
though i hope i will make it.. its totally worth it.. having a bit of overweight is worse then being too skinny..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-17 17:38:40 +0000 UTC]

Well I'll tell you something. Some of the crap food we eat (and think it's healthy) actually causes insulin resistance and other crap and kepps people from losing weight. If you want to lose weight and you can't right now, you need to cut ALL wheat, whether it's bread or pasta. Here is the website of a friend of mine, you can't not lose weight if you follow this. But it needs commitment [link] My theory is that nowadays people who are skinny are kinda adapted to the unhealthy diet we have while fatter people are not that adapted. either way it's still not healthy and all our habits cause chronic diseases, cancer, bad facial development and obesity. The picture is very ugly but the good thing is that you can change it. So I gave you everything I know. And please don't be desperate, you didn't do everything that you could do that's all . So here it is, I told you everything I know . you WILL succeed.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-08-18 09:13:26 +0000 UTC]

True alot of foods are crap.. though what should be eaten then..
you know i watched the website but i havent see anything about weightloss right?
i envy skinny people alot.. i always had fat around my waist , and wide hips but for the rest im overal ok not overweight only my belly and love handles..
its a really intresting website i will read it all eventueally but really weightloss data is not present ?
which picture is very ugly? share?
thank you for sharing everything you know you really are helpfull and kind thank you for you help once again
indeed i didnt do everything i could do.. but its just takes so much time and it really affects my every day life and decisions..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-19 16:16:51 +0000 UTC]

Ohhh when I say the picture is ugly I didn't mean an actual photo loll. I mean the situation is bad. Ok I will explain to you what right food will do. If you wat things that increase fat storage with insuline resistance and this stuff, you cannot lose weight even though you starve yourself and have no energy because yuor body will store fat before all, or you will gain the back with time. It's a lifetime change. If you eat right, your body will adapt and change to be healthy and look fit. Here's an other website that could help a lot [link]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-08-20 08:47:06 +0000 UTC]

Oh right ok i understood then sorry missunderstood
ok but what are these things that make you insuline resistance?
eating right, just makes me think of eating no bread or starch foods..eat alot of veggies and fruit raw.
and then perhaps once in a while warm chicken or thats basically it? and drink alot of water..
since ive stopped drinking fizzy since two years now..
i know its a lifetime.. but damn.. five months and no result makes angry and demotivated idk.
sorry that ive been putting you up with my stress and concerns.
ok ill check that website out but it wonders me how you know this? since you are normal and thin.. you look perfect.. *jealous*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-20 22:22:21 +0000 UTC]

lol I don't look perfect . Buttt I know this because I want to stay young, be beautiful and healthy for the longest time possible so that's basically it . I do a lot of researches. Chicken is good, all meat is good. The worst things are sugar, hydrogenated oil and gluten (wheat). I know it's easy to say but I'm addicted to my bread and cereals . But I'm trying to let them go and find alternates. Eggs are good. What's your blood type BTW?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-08-21 08:26:52 +0000 UTC]

Uh yes you do..
Same feeling i have too.. cause i look older then i am with the extra weight.
My researches are without result, so it doesnt matter if i have the knowledge or not
it all end or gets stuck in my head.
my blood a+
eggs yeh totally love them.. i can live without bread but i do need to fill up my stomach with like food, i can say no to sugar, but i dont know what hydrogenated oil is.

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-23 16:49:30 +0000 UTC]

Well throw all margarine to the garbage . Butter is better. Olive oil is healthy but is has to be organic. Just don't cook with it because it oxidizes with heat and it's not good. Cut all sugar and wheat. You can buy bread from other cereals but generally the flatter the bread the better. when it's soft and pillowy bread it's because it's rich with gluten. Spelt bread is better. But my advice is go gradually otherwise you will get tired of that and give up. So you can begin by cutting sugar, then cutting wheat. What makes you fat is mostly sugar and wheat so it's best to avoid them. Eat a lot of vegetables, they help clean your body and detoxify. They're very nutrient rich too. You can eat them raw or steamed, or sometimes fried in the pan . but once you're used to sugar ree diet you will find sugar gross. Raw unprocessed honey is very healthy too. I know it sounds very complicated, and it kinda is. But you can cook very simple healthy meals and keep them basic. Your whole body will need a little time to get used to it though so go slowly . But if you eat truly healthy you'll live better, older and healthier. Say goodbye to diabete, cholesterol, cancers and other degenerative diseases.

Xumarov In reply to maarkb [2012-08-24 10:34:05 +0000 UTC]

But i dont use butter or margarine..
i do use olive oil for food.
sugar cutting is hard. since like fruit has alot of suga too
wheat is no problem is cutable
but honestly what else is left to eat? and to feel full?

spelt bread is something i never heared before.. but i found a bakery that doesw make it
so no fruit more veggies? ok sounds pretty logical although wont i feel low in energy but for that
a piece of fruit once in a while would do ok i presume.

where can i find raw unproccesed honey? besides what does that mean.. what is processed honey?
and that is still suga?

so basically its all about veggies? i mean its doable but it is really lifechanging and intresting
but you are convinced this will lead to weightloss right? just to be an a veg diet?

this is the way how everyone should live.. oh btw i dont eat red meat i do eat birds chicken and seastuff which is good right
man im so happy for you helping me out.. and you living your lifestyle thank you for being here for me preciate it alot js

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-24 18:17:01 +0000 UTC]

the sugar that is bad is CANE, CORN, and BEET sugar. Fruit sugar and honey is good . you can find unprocessed honey at the grocery. Just make sure it's written "unpasterized" . That's basically it. All meat it good, red meat a little less though. But when I talk about bad sugar, it's about white sugar and corn syrup. And you're welcome . Yes eating well leads to weight loss because it makes you healthier and help your body functionning well.

oh ok question, what about sweeteners like the ones i use for tea.. i use these kinda small tablets are they good? replaceable for taste is it not for the energy level to replace sugar.?

do you have skype?
Oh and honestly been eating fruit and less amount of veggies for the last few days. and i mean the amount is alot.. to replace the rest since i have more hungry i feel it that way.
how long would you estimate it to be before i lose any weight? my gym opens next week i have a subscribtion there but it was closed for over a month.
do you think i will lose anything? if not i really wouldnt know anything to do.. i would go over to eating nothing.. untill i would lose the amount and then graduually adjust myself back to food i guess..

maarkb In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-26 00:29:15 +0000 UTC]

my skype is marc-andrb . artificial sweetened is a poison, worse than sugar. It is NOT eliminated by the body and can trigger alzheimer and cancers. Weight loss is a long time process, come talk to me on skype .

Ok now that just made me sad how can artificial be bad.. i mean it has totally no value in kcal its just for the sweet taste.. so how do you drink your tea or coffee?
well to prevent alzheimer we can eat curry and curcuma right
yey see you on skype

I dunno. I eat small portions. Try to not eat a lot of carbs. Lots of Protein. When I do weights I do different parts of the body every day. I try to move up 5 lbs a week on the weights im doing. I do 3 sets of everything I do. And when I do cardio I try to push my self to the point of where I can't go any further at all.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xumarov In reply to aheathphoto [2012-07-30 07:20:26 +0000 UTC]

oh i understand, so basically it all has to do with your food right? i mean if you wouldnt do a sportsdiet you wouldnt get results?

carbs hmm there is where my problem is i guess.. and i need to drink alot of water..
the moving up 5 lbs every week is doable but untill where can you go.. i already reached my limit.. i mean there are heavier weights but i cant even lift them let alone push.. will see about that..
cardio i do mostly running for approx close to an hour.. daily thats it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

aheathphoto In reply to Xumarov [2012-07-30 18:19:00 +0000 UTC]

Food is a large part. Some carbs are good. Cause you need them for energy. You need protein to gain muscle mass. And of course cardio is a must. I alway try to do at least 2 miles as hard as i can either running or on the elliptical at a decent incline. The more it burns... The more it works. And you need to stick with it at least 5 days a week for a few months before you really see results. Just drink want and no caffine for a while. It will make a big difference in burning fat. And you will start to have more energy. processed sugar and caffeine block your body's natural energy so it won't burn off un needed fat.

Xumarov In reply to aheathphoto [2012-07-30 21:33:32 +0000 UTC]

INtresting, but what do you think about going to much and letting muscles heal in their need day time?
i mean i run for 3 miles every day.. and do weight back arm shoulder everything.. i feel good though i do take alot of supplements.. but i just not grow. i do get bigger chest and arm and it gets firmer but not bigger nore do i lose any wiehgt.. or there is no outlining

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

aheathphoto In reply to Xumarov [2012-08-01 21:30:58 +0000 UTC]

It takes a while. Your body can only gain 5 lbs a year in muscle mass. I do different muscle groups every day to give others rest. But you have to keep going and stick with it.
