Is this the same window or porthole as this oneΒ fav.me/daeci6b ? Either way, it makes for a great frame. I like how you appear to have angled the shot to get light catching on the bottom curves, shows how the photo is looking out of that window and adds to the over all image. Plus, with the title, it tells a story!

The other one was shot through binoculars, hence the round shape, but this one is actually a window. So, no! The curve was quite faint originally, but I managed to recover it enough in post. I'm glad you noticed it, because without it this image would have been swiftly discarded. Many thanks!

Oh! Now you've said it I can see that, but didn't realise before. May I ask, did you have your camera on a tripod when you took 'On The Periphery'? I've tried taking photos through binoculars without a tripod and found it difficult. The curve is just visible enough to not take your focus away but add to the image! Ah, it's good the title came along to keep the image then.

Actually no, I didn't use a tripod. Just tried my best to line up all the lenses and keep it steady. Shooting in bright light helps a lot to keep the shutter speed fast, as you know, but the real key to a good shot is... a ton of photos! That photo was the one good out of maybe 40.

Aha, burst shots! Of course! The last time I tried it was with someone else's camera; mine is currently having repairs but I will give this a go again when it's back. Thanks Β
