Description This is my Siberian Husky who I named Sylvie. She is my sweet loving baby that is very good with children but when she gets a chance she will break and run and has horrible recall to get her back. Some nights I'll spend hours trying to get her to come home and it's all but a big game to her. But eventually I do end up getting her. She is a true escape artist by nature and will deploy any tactic to be able to get away. We crate her when we're not home, we go to bed, or we're doing stuff where we have to constantly open and close the doors. That has helped a great deal.

Oh I forgot to mention she thinks she's a lap dog but she only weighs 41lbs but that's still too big. We recently got her a new play mate who I should have pictures up soon. It's a mix of a mini Manchester Terrier and Pappion and she'll be about 10lbs but at the present moment they seen to play rather well together Sylvie knows not to hurt her. They like each other so much they both go get into the crate together to snuggle and sleep. So, I guess I couldn't ask for more... Well I guess I could. For the cats to like them.

Yep I know how it is. The more I call her the more she runs around in circles around me but staying far enough away where I can't catch her. It's like a big game to her. Thanks for the comment!

For all the times she gets loose outside I get so annoyed and mad at her but I know all she wants to do is make a game out of it... but when I have her home in side, taking her for walks, and out to the park she is my baby and I wouldn't trade her for the world. She is very protect of my 2 year old. That has been one way to catch her if she gets loose but its kinda odd to ask someone she really don't know to come up to him and act like they are going to grab him (my 2 year old) because she will get upset. I've only tried that once and I don't they the guy cared to try it again. Oh yeah 41lbs is small she was the run of the litter. They let me have her for $100 after I had drove about 4 hours up into Georgia.

Dogs always keep us busy and we never know what's going to happen. Thats why I love them they are my toddlers that never grow up.

it really depends on the dog, had a husky when i was younger as the family dog and he was pretty mellow and laid back. he was also a rescued stray that had clearly been abused too so maybe he was just happy to have a loving home where he could enjoy the rest of his life.

Perhaps thats it and each dog has their own personality as well. Mine is still rather hyper and all over the place.
