So I'm working on trying to break into more detailed works versus my older stuff. My gallery is filled with too much artwork of just characters without any completed backgrounds to speak of. So in hopes of understanding backgrounds, you'll be seeing a lot more of this. Practice! Practice! Practice!
So this is Yuri from Tales of Vesperia. Don't know what's up with the random light post in the middle of a plain... but it's there. XD Umm... and the crystal thingie is suppose to be one of the lighting "blastia" that you see throughout the game. lol
(Edit: After looking at this, he looks like he's quite satisfied after doing something... I hadn't intended that. XD He's more or less just resting there and content. Nothing else. XD)

lol Randomness FTW! XD Thank you very much! The original ink of this had more to it but I got lazy and liked it more simple. Need to work on my shading with inanimate objects though. That light post seems out of place due to it's lack of detail. *scrunch* XD

lol I won't be coloring it though. So sadly there won't be stuff like this. However it is rolling. Just getting storyboard down. Once that's together things move more smoothly.

I love it!! I actually just ordered a Wacom tablet (Bamboo Fun), so I'll definitely be taking a page or two from your book. Also, just curious, do you live in Florida? Is that why you're able to go to so many cons?

Wow! If you have the Bamboo Fun, then I guess I did well on my research! Yessss, I'll let you know when I get it! Actually, you'll probably see like a heckuvalotta updates from me once I get it. I'll be doing lots and lots of experimenting. It does get cumbersome to use Photoshop with just a mouse. Trust me, that's why I don't have that much work done in Photoshop! <3

I can't wait! It's extremely time consuming to use a mouse, and all that clicking...ugh. Did you make any tutorials on using a pen in Photoshop, or did you only did tutorials on using the markers? Just curious. I'd love to see what techniques you use that you find useful when using the tablet. I'm really excited!
