A drawing I did of Iubar for Ori-chan. I used prismacolor markers and colored pencils for Iubar, and the background was a stock photo that I added in Photoshop. Altogether, it took about 20 hours.Iubar (c) me

It's very pretty! The detail in the scales makes me dizzy...and it looks really good against the background!

*jaw drops* SUGOI! did you use marker for the outlines of the scales? i can't tell. this is sooo amazing! i agree with alex on how it looks like it was done in a 3D program...it's so high quality. it looks really...really...real. so good. >_< shading with pencils ontop of markers has such a rich effect. you deserve a bow. *bow*

wagh! I'm so sorry I never replied to this! Thanks much for the bow! ^^ Um...scales were all done in colored pencil, which meant i had to keep them INSANELY SHARP the whole time. >_< Yesh.

....holy shit!... that looks soooooo good! the relief on all the scales is awesome! some parts seriously look like they coulda been done in some 3d program!... and the gleam?! all with markers?!?! +fav definitely!...20 hours is a long time....

I don't know about the background...it seems a little too close to the dragon's scale color. I might have gone with a picture of the sky at sunrise or sunset, so the red and golden colors would contrast the blue in the dragon.

thanks ^^ Actually, the flat color of the dragon (yellow and blue) i did with markers, and then I shaded it with colored pencil.
