Another dragon! This time of the more traditional variety... and it has a name!

The Common Sunspot is just that--common, being one of the most widespread species on the planet. The other part of their name refers to dark blotches that mark their wings and sides, the pattern of which can vary widely between individuals--some have hardly any spots at all, while others could almost be called melanistic with how dark and widespread their markings are. Originally from mountain steppes, they have since adapted to all manner of environments, their omnivorous diet and fiery breath serving them well as they travel. Like most other dragons, Sunspots are social and happy to intermingle with other species, often forming loose 'family' groups that live and work together in communal establishments. They have average magical ability, and the dedicated can become skilled mages with practice.

I forgot to do a size comparison sketch, but an average human is just shorter than eye level to the average Sunspot.
