Description
The Gloomy Veil is a dense nebula of gas and dust located on the boarder of the Hitokna Sector.
The region owes its name to the various phenomena that actively interfere even with most advanced sensors; making it de facto one of the few uncharted regions of Galactic space.

However the dangers have never dissuaded daring adventurers from venturing inside the nebula searching for riches.

Most of them perish in the pursuit of glory and wealth but the most skilled and cunning spacers found in the Veil the perfect base of operation far from prying eyes, provided the possess the means to deter “aggressively determined” competitors.

After the Hitokna Sector was plunged into the turmoils following the establishment of the Divine Empire, the veil become the place from where the so called Pirate Queen of the Gloomy Veil stages her hit-and-run sorties against imperial supply lines.

So far any attempt by the Imperials to locate her base of operations has been thwarted by Veil’s peculiarities.

The Imperial Cruiser Rightful Punishment was the only ship that pursued her inside the veil and the vessel is listed as missed in action.
Imperial Command found no trace of the ship and the event fortified the “reputation” of both the veil and the Pirate Queen.
