Description Continuing this style I decided to show a peaceful scene with wildlife and a photographer. I am a photography hobbyist so it inspired me to portray a photographer capturing the beauty of nature.

I like the style, it's very vector-ish, and the visual composition looks really nice and pretty.

But, that aside, here are some things I think you could pay attention to and improve. First, I have to ask you not to use low resolution images. Looks good when fit to the screen, but once you add zoom, you can see the trees are low-res. I recommend either using hd stock pictures or throwing them into Illustrator and then blocking everything into a single color. Also about the trees, the style of the ones on the second and third plane look pretty different; you can see the image itself, which takes a bit away from the flat color style.

And, talking about color, it's not that this color scheme is bad or doesn't work, but it's not very interesting, unlike the other pieces in your gallery. And, last, the clouds. This style of clouds don't fit your artwork as well as the ones you've been doing . Oh, and try not using so much the default Photoshop grass brush, at least not for such a big area. Try looking for some grass and foliage brushes here on DA.

Also, it would add some interest to your piece if there was some kind of texture and/or shading. Something very subtle, not too heavy.

I'm sure your art can be even better and you can get more views! Keep up with your good work!

And I'm sorry if I sounded kinda mean

Thanks for the advice! I am not sure why the trees look low res. The trees are a from a brush that I downloaded. What I did was layer a bunch of trees onto itself to create the flat color look. I forgot to do that to the trees farther out!

Yeah I thought the color scheme was a little bland. I just didn't know what to do to bring out the "forest feeling" of the piece. My desert scene  had a very easy way to bring out the desert feeling of the piece. I thought warm colors and a more wavy landscape would fit, to show off the sand.

But yeah, thanks for all the advice. It really helps me! There's no problem with telling me what worked and what didn't work because I am new to digital art. All the help I get really means a lot.

Oh, that's because graphic photoshop brshes are made from images and even tho PS can scale them up to 5k px radius, that doesn't mean they don't lose quality, since they're pixel and not vector-based.

Yes, your desert scene looks beautiful! (tho I should mention the resolution again, sorry for being so picky aha). Maybe you could try using this to help you with color schemes.

I'm glad I could help you somehow Keep up the good work!

Is there a way to make tree brushes and such vector based so it doesnt lose quality?

Uh, you can trace the outlines with the Pen tool, but that can take a long time. You can also download brushes in better resolutions or simply make a smaller canvas.
