Everthing we know happens due to cause and effect, yes. There is no proof of a moral of supernatureal equal to that as far I know of. Could you please tell me more about the reasoning of your statment please?

Let me explain, though it might sound as a stupid excuse. God gave the humans a choice, whether we should follow him or not. If we had chosen to follow him, none of this would have happened. No, God ain't punishing us, but since the humans have decided to control the world themselves, these things do happen. We do not let the Lord protect us. However, he will answer our prayers for help.

MaySohma In reply to naitecoffee [2011-03-13 16:40:06 +0000 UTC]

It was about his latest comic about the influence anime has on us. He complained that artists is always inluenced by anime art and that it's stupid how it influences so much. I told him that japanese anime actually has good storylines at least, and that they're much better than most american cartoons (Disney Channel Cartoon Network etc). He just, as childish as a grown man can be, replied with a facepalm. Good Heavens...

Should be patient if we face some people like that

Some people are just can't accept the big influence of anime/manga style.

I also like anime/manga style, especially when I was still at school and college. And I love Japanese kawaii art style so much.

But I have to be honest, what I don't like from anime/manga is about they spread yaoi and yuri culture to all over the world.

MaySohma In reply to naitecoffee [2011-03-13 17:14:42 +0000 UTC]

Yeah.
Oh, I agree! I'm not against yaoi/yuri, but it's... Believe it or not, I think it's uncute, especially when all those series only is about ecchi-things (much better to say it that way). It makes people think that homosexual relationship is all about sexual intercourse. To some people, it's actually a real problem that they're gay/lesbian, because it crosses their religion. Where's the focus on that, huh?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

naitecoffee In reply to MaySohma [2011-03-13 17:49:27 +0000 UTC]

I believe that God give a very hard test/examination to some people like them (gay/lesbian people), to reveal about their faithful, it's true faithful or not. They will become amazingly faithful person, if they can pass the test (I mean: hold their passion and try to obey God rules).

Some people are what we can say...mmm...maybe "pure gay". I realize that I can't argue too much about them. They are people with a very hard test, I believe. Maybe just like blind or deaf people. They have "limitation" in life. Just in a different type.

I'm very respectful to gay/lesbian who always tries to keep straight in their life, because they afraid to break God's rules and they hope mercy and love from God. They're wonderful.

That's what I think about "pure gay".
But because of the big influence from yaoi/yuri anime, a lot of people that basically straight at the first time, they can get easy have new interest in having relationship with the same gender after they become anime fans.

Imagine...I'm sure that can be happen if they always reading and looking the same pictures or a lot of sensual yaoi/yuri pictures every day.

That's my opinion right now.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MaySohma In reply to naitecoffee [2011-03-13 18:01:46 +0000 UTC]

I agree with you, I believe the influence yaoi/yuri anime gives might make people go into a relationship with the same gender. Also, many girls go into relationship with their girlfriends, and that can sometimes be because they're influenced by anime. I don't know, I feel like I'm looking into things I don't really have a clue about >___> I hope I don't offend anyone.

Yes, but then again, I don't think the Lord tests us that way. It's nothing we should 'pass', it feels wrong to say that. If you are tested by God, he sees whether you really are faithful or not, they won't become faithful after being tested if they weren't from the start.
Those people who you call "purely gay", most of them aren't religous. I won't say they have a limitation, it's just their orientation. It's sad though, how lost they are.
By the way, about people who stay alone because of their respect towards God... That's really amazing. I've also heard about people who've turned straight because they've asked God to help them.

naitecoffee In reply to MaySohma [2011-03-13 18:19:48 +0000 UTC]

I have a big hope that amazingly change can also be happen on one of my best friend...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe that people can become more faithful after being tested.

I have to explain, that in my religion, Islam, we know that faithful have a grade/level/stage.

Some Muslim people can be more or less faithful than others.

As an example...our prophet Muhammad of course, he is at the first level faithful Muslim. He is the most faithful Muslim. The best Muslim ever.

And for the Muslim people today, our faithful as his followers is nothing compare to him. That's what I learn from my religion.

MaySohma In reply to naitecoffee [2011-03-13 18:25:39 +0000 UTC]

Yes, let's pray for that, though we do not pray to the exact same God (that is, we view him differently).

Of course, there are different stages of faithful in Christianity too, and we look up to the apostles and the prophets written about in the Bible.
However, I don't think God will test a person who's not faithful at all. He might test a person who is faithful, but does not listen to him, and then strengthen that persons faith. But it is not how God saves us.

I'm sure that a lot of people in the world are asking God to help Japan now.

It's not about the houses that can be built in one night.

For me, it's about hope that God will give them courage to keep patient, to keep move on their life, and not become desperate.

MaySohma In reply to DrHitpoint [2011-03-13 10:31:30 +0000 UTC]

Please, show some respect for us religious people. We believe that God (though we do not believe in the same God) can do all he wants, which also means magically rising buildings, and don't call us stupid for that. We've never done anything against you, and surely, you ought to have better things to do than to complain about a stamp.

But don't you see? There is more than just material help in the world. Even if you don't believe it works, just knowing that someone is praying for you helps your mental condition. Also, that's only your opinion. I have prayed, and seen the Lord answering in my own eyes.
