Description
Sophie stood on the busy city street, waiting for her friend to arrive. She had agreed to meet at this spot, but as time passed, Sophie began to feel anxious. She was about to text her friend when a man appeared in front of her.
"Excuse me, miss," he said, "but I couldn't help but notice you standing here alone. Can I keep you company while you wait?"
Sophie looked at him skeptically at first, but then she noticed his kind eyes and friendly smile. She decided to take a chance and nodded her head in agreement.
As they chatted, Sophie found herself feeling more and more comfortable around this stranger. His name was Jack, and he had a quick wit and an easy charm. Before she knew it, their conversation had lasted hours.
As the sun began to set and the city lights came to life, Jack took Sophie's hand and led her to a nearby rooftop. They sat down on the edge, their legs dangling over the edge as they gazed out at the stunning view of the city skyline.
As they talked, Sophie began to realize that she had never felt so comfortable and at ease with someone before. Jack seemed to understand her in a way that no one ever had.
As the night drew to a close, Jack took Sophie's hand once more and looked deep into her eyes. "I know we just met, but I feel like I've known you forever," he said. "Will you go out with me sometime?"
Sophie smiled and nodded, knowing that this was the beginning of something special.
