Gosh! Long time no deviation! And I'm terribly sorrry for that. But there were simply no pictures left to upload.Anyway, have one of the first pictures of my latest costume - Princess Leia Organa from Star Wars Ep. IV - A New Hope which I debuted at London Super Comic Con past weekend!
Since I basically grew up with Star Wars it was more or less clear that I'd make one of Leia's outfits some time. I mean, I got my first lightsaber when I was 4... The force is strong in my family. Haha.
I put the outfit together in about 1,5 weeks. The dress is made from heavy jersey, the belt from cotton fabric, pieces of Worbla's Finest Art and plain silver buttons. The wig was styled by the amazing TheLupin , because I'm the worst at wig styling. I tried to to it myself at first, but it was of absolutely no use. I'm incredibly grateful she offered her help. Otherwise I would have never been able to finish and wear this costume. Thank you, Line , you're the best!

I made a Batman cape for Halloween last year and came close to madness trying to get the folds in the cape to have the correct pleats! I've never been so angry at a piece of cloth!

Oh, yeah.. I can relate to that. Folds can be a REAL pain. But I simply used an elastic band to create mine in the dress. It was very easy.

Uh, I don't know yet. It depends on how far I've come concerning my bachelor thesis and if I can afford it.. financially.

haha no didnt get any pictures! i didnt know any of the photographers there and we only really stayed for just over an hour. thank you! we both last minute did the costumes haha.
ahh damn! and mcm is expensive even for UK people so i can understand. i just travel back and forth because the hotels are too damn expensive.

Das wird super. Wie gesagt, offizielle Lucasfilm Veranstaltung.
Der KostΓΌmclub in dem ich bin stellt auch aus. Wir werden vielleicht sogar nen RΓΌstungsbau Workshop veranstalten, da wir extra von der verantwortlichen von Lucasfilm in der Antwortmail drum gebeten wurden.
Ist keine gΓΌnstige Veranstaltung aber die gibts auch kein zweites Mal in der Form in den nΓ€chsten Jahren so nah.
