You still don't understand...? Okay, let me explain. Some of these things may be copied from old comments because I'm not really keen on writing something new.
1.
When someone overly praises minor character for something what didn't happen, completely ignoring the other ones - it gets annoying.Β I hate her becauase of her stupid fans who idealize her as if she was a goddess (being overrated ad stuff). Though the whole crew died, they only see her death as something tragic. And why's that? Because they're 100% sure she was engaged with Levi.
She didn't have that much of a show. Like... 2 episodes - random scenes. She just didn't exist too long. And what fandom does? "She died for us all!! Levi loved her so much! Her death is so sad!!!" Blah blah blah, things which aren't true.

Screw manga where she said literally she is going to devote herself to the job.
Screw the author who said Petra was having a hidden romance with Oluo and they were going to get married.
Anime says otherwise so that must be true!!

And why I cannot hate her without any reason anyway? She's not an important character, yet she's dead. Like my hatred was going to change something.Β She's never done anything except "existing". At least I don't remember her making something more useful than tea.

Ironically I mean.
I mean, these are your reasons, and I respect the fact that you don't like Petra, but some of them are kinda dumb no offense.
And those reasons can just go on to a whole other level to the point where it's not really a reason linked to what you think, rather what the majority thinks, and doesn't really have anything to do with hating the character/or it's just dumb, and it can just go on and on.

I don't care if my reasons are dumb or what. Rabid fanbase is usually the reason to hate something because it's getting annoying. The more bullshit I see, the more I cannot stand it. And if someone asks me for arguments, I give what I can. Because -unfortunetly- not everyone can understand "it's annoying" as it is.
When you like something, it's fine and no one cares, but when you hate it, you must explain yourself in front of everyone. It's always funny how they say "we don't care if you hate it" and then there's "but why?" and that would be everything about 'not caring'.
