^_^ It is obvious. I also try to practice drawing now because my art looks a lot like crap. I give my best but I don't have a 'style' Like you for example that I could practice.
I at least try to be, haha. If not, then maybe we could also one day exchange skype or Twitter or something. I don't really have social media though.

Well, style is really a complicated thing, i must say i was just too lucky having it from the beginning and just developing to the way i'd like it to be while growing skills. Never had i to borrow any details from any artists. But i know that if you don't have exact vision of what you want to draw it can be really hard.
but if you don't try you don't succed, right?

In the moment I just try and copy a lot of other drawings, trying to find something I am comfortable with. More than difficult.

imho there's nothing worse than copying. it's not the same thing as just looking at pictured and borrowing some ideas of shapes and proportions. it's rather dangerous in case of developing style and improving skills both. copying affects spatial thinking really badly. be careful with it.

No i mean I am training drawing with thin paper and copy the pictures by putting them underneath and then following the lines.
So I get a feeling for drawing, proportions ect. And mostly it is not from an artist but from...tutorials, i guess?

oh, you mean tracing
it is more useful than copying, right. just don't forget to try by yourself also and read something that will explain you the basics, because when you copy the line it's not the same as when you just know where to draw it
in the end, drawings and tutoials are just 2d, and the process of drawing is like putting the image of 3d model from brain to paper and drawing on it

Well, I try my best, usually sketch a bit here and there.
The start and form looks good but then it comes to the features ect. and it just turns out very
crappy. I am simply training a lot and trying out things. The style...I guess will come for himself in the end?
I will look for things that explain it directly except the tutorials I use.
Maybe I just have the problem that I lack creativity when drawing something. ^^

it always seemed to me that most important thing is what are you trying to learn drawing for. for me it never was a question because i wanted to draw stories with my characters and my universe, so i never had any doubts about 'what' to draw, i only had (and have) problems like 'how' to draw it
when you know exactly what you are aiming for and what to draw, it becomes much more than just learning, even if low skilled, you'll create something lively, this is why i always advice to everyone not just drawing figures and poses (though drawing from nature and short sketching poses from photos are useful at any level) but drawing stories, like compositions with more than 1 person, with interaction between them. you'll fail badly if you have no skill and experience, but until you fail you'll never know what exactly you need to improve. And, after all, drawing people in action is much more fun than just drawing standing boys and girls!

Well, my "why" is very alike. I want to create pictures from my characters and visulise a lot.
Drawing a story, just like you.
The skill is something totally different, it might just lack myself on confidence on the stories and the drawings I do.
But most times I just fail at the easiest parts of drawing and could hit myself, demotivating again and again.
Of course I try again. As far as I can.
The experience...guess will come with trying.
Though this still doesn't want to go into my head. And until now I am trying to improve on head and shoulders.
My body poses are....
not even as ugly as stickman but...horrible. You know.
I draw more of aesthetical things - like flowers and nature. Though also they do not look
very beautiful.
You are right and definitely have more experience than me, which helps me a lot already.

not that it has exact history, i just needed to draw something cyberpunk/sci-fi'ish, and Margo was the boy who fit it best of all because his personal story is full of laboratories and hiding postindustrial places :3

me too because it's not me but my sister who creates the basic story behind most characters i draw. and i get this infomation like in small parts in our roleplay where we work on our universe)
