I can almost see their personalities from here. I wouldn't have had them smile more because their clothes and expressions together make them look more sophisticated, and their relationship more complicated. The guy in the foreground appears more stern, serious, feet-on-the-ground while the man behind him looks kind of cheeky, like he's about to shove his hand down his lover's pants. I luvvit.

I really like this drawing cause you're characters don't look cartoony at all. I often get that feeling when an artist tries to draw people as perfect as he can imagine them. These two look so .. real. Almost as if you used pictures (or models) to draw them.
Interesting that you've pictured a gay couple from -what looks like- a hundred years ago. Cause of course there were gay couples then but they weren't likely to have their portrait drawn togehter now would they ? I guess it's easier for us gays now. Can't imagine the life these two were forced to live...
Anyways .. very good work. Keep 'em coming !

EEEEEEK! Johnny Depp and Matt Damon!!!
I decided to comment this last amongst the 4 deviations u submitted. I find portraits like this captures a more longing sense of affection compared to most other portraits of couples. It shows as though this couple has been together for quite a long time to know that smiles alone isn't the fundamentals of a relationship but also the bonding and understanding of each other.. The fact that Damon here is leaning on to Depp, and the part where he only holds a finger than the hand, shows a more subtle yet profounding sense of love.. that they've reached the point where they know every little bits and pieces of what they do measures up to their relationship... Besides, most new relationships would show a HUGE amount of public display of affections, yet this one... even the slightest display of affection, shows they are not shy of each other anymore, but rather shares a deep sense of faith, hope, trust, care, understanding, respect... and most of all.. love..
I think i'm being sentimental this morning.. EeeeK! hehehehehe! I love this piece.. though not as much as I love you!

It makes me think of "My Own Private Idaho". Looks a little like Keanu and River. Great technique
