Well, what can I say? It was July the 6th, 2005 - when I drew my last night elves.... though that'll probably change for this year. I am tempted to see if Blizzard would allow this one in it's fanart gallery, but knowing them, they probably wouldn't even give it a second look. Why? Just a gut feeling. Anyhoo, here's a treat for all you fans! Enjoy~!
On a side note, I redesigned my logo, and can write my signature with the tablet now!

Thanks! I find that with my style, darker skin is easier to tone. While I don't mind lighter skin tones, I still struggle to find a particular shading style to be comfortable with.

I just think they're hard to impress. (Or are subject to bribery...) Unless of course their submit system has a few errs-- but it's hard to say from this side of things.

excellent detail on props and outfits, as well as coloring and gradients, as usual. the motions you have captured these two characters in feels a little awkward to me, but otherwise this work.

Yeah, it was difficult trying to forge the two. Originally I had drawn them seperate, so putting them in the same scene was a little difficult, but I thought it came out okay. Glad you like how it all turned out.

Okay, firstly WOW on the water, and indeed the background in general, VERY well done.
Secondly for some reason I seem to like the armour on Night-elf's arm the best, realistic and well positioned etc etc etc.
Also lovley touch with the water falling off greenie/dripping down purple's skin
I'm gonna assume that you did a lot of reasearch into the poses, indeed they're not too bad, but if greenie dosn't pivot on that leg in the water she's going to fall over. It looks very much like she's holding that sword in the defensive stance so she can swing it up to counter Purple's down swing then knock her off balance with the sheild... If you see what I mean...
Only problem i see with this is that the edge of the tablet needs more defonition at the top, it's okay where Purple's foot is at the bottom, and up untill it dissapears behind Green, but at the top it's hard to make out the corner.
I LOVE Green's skirt. LOVE it, the boots too, and really, this is amazing ^^ You keep getting better!

It was in the back of my mind to draw in clouds, but I wasn't sure if it'd alter the mood of it all. Though I also wanted to catch the humidity of the area they're in... hmm... I guess I'll look into it.

Thanks! Yeah, it's true, so I wonder how many entries they've turned down. Might just be a matter of taste, or who knows. Maybe some works that have made it into the gallery had good contacts, lol. I know I'd consider it a grand honour to have anything of mine featured there.
