Never seen before, the prologue chapter is a lead up to events surrounding Kaen's arrival on Haedyr IV, told from the perspective of his missing friend, the Jedi, Jahret Tral.

Chapter I has arrived, with quite a few changes! The haedyrians themselves are much more fleshed out, as is Kaen's introduction. Jahret's reasons for being on Haedyr IV are different from the original story, too, which required much rewriting--but that's not all! Niriah is now a haedyrian?!
(Trust me, her race change in particular was for the story's own good...)

No more excuses. I will complete this journey before the end of the year. I will have the first book written for this story and may I still have support after all this time. x_x
For now, enjoy the prologue and first two chapters! I'll have the third written soon and it'll be nothing like what was in the original story. You have my word!

Chapter III! At this point it's safe to say this story is going in a much different direction than Bloodlines.
Which is good! I feel one of the original story's flaws is I didn't give the world of Haedyr IV enough thought, so now one of my biggest goals is to give it history. The same also goes for giving Kaen and Niriah's early relationship some additional meaning and what blessings/consequences will come with it.
