Wow, great shot! Did you do any editing on these colours, or was it natural?

Winter? I would not like skating on this lake, or is it thermal water?

The blue and violet water is contrasting the bown leaves, perhaps its beginning winter in autumn?

It's not winter, actually it was a very cold day in may. The leaves were still brown although in May, they should be more green. I used selective color and a few filters to get this end result. It isn't thermal water, it freezes during winter but not so much to skate on it. So I have been told. I haven't been there during winter to see if that's the case or not.

It was only the wording "winter" which astonished me. I like the view on the lake and the blue-green and brown trees mirrored on the surface of the water.

Can you explain the location and the name of the lake? I'm interested in the geography to see where it is and if I have a chance to trvel there anytimes.

It's in Breuilpont, France. I don't know the exact location, but in Breuilpont, more exactly close to Breuilpont, I've seen a lot of lakes. This one, however, was on the property of a friend I was visiting. Don't know if there is public access to it.

I'm glad you like it.

Oh, it is France, not your home country.

Indeed I love France, too. See [link] . The northern part has nearly central Europe clima an 5 to 10 degree more than we have it. I believe there is the winter without snow.

On the road between Paris and Rouen I passed many lovely places and nice villages, castles to visit. But on a business tour is always not enough time.

I guess such lakes or side arms of a river could be in Romania, why not?

That is a beautiful place! That is my favorite kind of climate; not too fond of cold but not much I can do...we have very cold winters in Romania and long ones too.

Yes, there are a lot of lakes in Romania, especially in the mountain area, the Carpathians are amazing, lots of lakes. And the South, the Black Sea is very beautiful. I've heard that the trip to the Black Sea by train is the best. Believe it or not, I have never been there. Odd, no? Live in the country but not been there. Perhaps because it's like a 2 day trip by train....

I agree with you that you travel far first. It's time to visit your own area when you come in my age or when any visitor or friend comes and takes you as a local specialist to the beach of black sea.

From central Europe moste of travelers fligh over your beatiful country direct to the beach and pass the nice detaills. In France is is different as it is not so far and available over hightway.
