The tree is a highly respected being, sheltering various other species, from the noble birds of prey to the insignificant beetle grub. But as much as it stands tall, with records of 140 metre heights reported, eventually the tree loses hold of the soil that has anchored it there for the last few centuries, perhaps even millennia. Even these trees, as much as they may seem to be permanent fixtures of the Earth around us, will buckle and fall dead one day. Unless a major disaster strikes the next day, Nature itself will move on.

You're so right! Nothing is stable in this world. Even stars eventually die even though their life span is several million years. Seems like forever to an ordinary human being but actually it is not and it's all right.
