Here's another fan art piece for Chobits. I loved Sumomo dearly. She's so sweet and innocent. Brought a lot of cheer to the manga.
I set her among plum blossoms because her name translates to plum in Japanese, I think...

The bird singing is a a Tufted Titmouse.

One of my most favorite birds. Saw one for the first time on campus, this past April. Cute little creatures<3

So yeah, Sumomo is celebrating life here, even though she's artificial. But I guess Chobits presents the possibility. I luv setting mechanical beings against natural backgrounds. This took me maybe 12hrs total, including sketching, line art, and coloring. Pleasant adventure!
