Yeah, Thor and his brother Shiva were rescued for the pet store, someone had abandoned them there. The staff LOVED them, and as a result, (and also because their cage was right next to the dog biscuit buffet) the staff gave them lots of treats and they were morbidly obese when we got them. I dunno how old they were when we got them, but definitely 1+.

I hate going to pet stores and seeing how they treat the animals...none around here treat the rats very well because they just get fed to snakes most of the time.

Yeah. Shiva and Thor were lucky to have been dropped off at a store with staff who loved them.
when we first inquired about taking them, we were told (a little over-enthusiastically) that we couldn't, because they were pets, and not food, no matter how fat they might be.

Haha, yeah, his name is Thor. We brought along his brother Shiva as a stunt double, but Thor ended up doing all his own stunts.
