Everything was done by me except for the MG42, which I had commissioned, and the Luftwaffe patch which I bought, same goes for the panties.

I'm really not sure if I should put a filter on these photos because my panties show... so far I haven't gotten into any trouble. I'm also wearing a body suit so there's no worries of cosplay malfunction XP

Ahh...and if I haven't asked you already, did you put something onto the surface of the mattress foam before painting it? Because foam is full of holes, and wouldn't really be a smooth surface for spraypainting on...?

I was thinking about doing a Strike Witches cosplay (with Strikers!), and I have no idea how I would make them...and you CERTAINLY DO! *applauds again*
So I was wondering if I could get some advice from you...on how to make them.
I know that you and the few other cosplayers who have done Strike Witches cosplays including the Striker Units use that green-colored mattress foam stuff that you can get at Jo-ann's.
So my only question is like...how you make them; how you put them together; the process...
So if you could help me, thank you!

Pretty much hot glue and seal the foam with whatever you want, and paint.

Also, did you use some kind of...sock-like thing as a base or something to glue the foam onto?
How do you put them on?
Also, what kind of paint did you use, and how did you apply it?
How did you cut the foam so smoothly? Did you use some special kind of...saw or something?

Nope, the foam is just 1" thick and I glued it at the seams using low-temp hot glue.
I just slide them onto my legs, they stay up well on their own unless i try and walk.
I used an acrylic based spray paint.
Aaaand, I used an electric knife to cut the foam.

Ah. How did you do the foot area? Did you put anything on the bottom of the foot, like the sole of a shoe or something...? Wouldn't walking on just the foam underneath your feet wear them out pretty quickly?

I got it from some site that specializes in vacuform guns. I don't know it off hand and have been trying to find it again... it had an odd name.

This what I enjoy about Cosplay, the attention to detail...
My (2) questions are...
1. Do the props (actually) move? - or are they stationary?
2. Will you be doing the rest of the characters? or (is this) just a personal Fav and so this will be *just* the one made?

I like the story, and - (for me anyway) - it's not really about the fanservice...
It's more about the military aspects of the show which are clearly seen, once people look beyond the fanservice aspect.
There is allot of deep meaning behind it.

I wanted the propellers to move but it would have been too complicated and I was rushing to get the legs done in time.
I want to do other chcracters but probably not from Strike Witches but from the Original Mecha Musume art work and also from Girl Arms. They tend to be a but more complicated and appeal to my tastes more
I did Gertrud since it was my first Mecha Musume figure and plus, she's my favorite character n.n
