Do you always watch anime in English dub ? I find it hard to watch dubs...it always feels a little off
I do also have a great appreciation towards seiyuu/voice actors so if I ever watch dubbed anime, I would also watch it with its original audio even if there's no subs...

I prefer the English dub, I don't mind as much. But anyways, there's no official English dub for AOT released yet so I've been relying on English subtitles. And I like some of the English voice actors. But that's me.

I guess it's different from other people. There are times I do watch dubs but sometimes but there are times when I recognize the voice actor/actress and imagine a different character than in the show because there are times when they chose typical voice actor/actress or someone who's already have experienced dubs. Sometimes, dubs change the script which mess up the whole character e.g the anime Darker Than Black, Hei/Li (protagonist) should have said "she's beautiful" but change to "she's hot", I get it if they want to match up the lip sync but at this scene we see him from the back side so we couldn't see his mouth moving...And I really like that anime T_T

I understand. I think it's just easier for me to hear the dub; though I should go back and listen to the original Japanese with subtitles.
Funimation tends to do a good job with dubs here.
Plus when it comes to something like Black Butler, due to British accents, I think I'd prefer the English dub because how I hear an English accent and how a Japanese person hears an English accent are two different things.
Though I do hear certain tones and acting which are somewhat similar across the board

I respect that but...wait, you WATCH Kuronoshitsuji ?! I mean...Black Butler ?! I got really bored watching it, at first it was kinda good but then the first season and then the second season...and then Ciel turns into a demon despite that Sebastian is forever his butler....@_@ It's good but not something I watch over again...True, that the way they hear and pronounce English accent are different but sometimes there is a reason for it, people...okay, girls and gays sometimes find it attractive that way for some reason...

I rarely like fanfics or doujinshis 'cause I don't know any good ones and some fans really mess up the characters or pretty much made their own wild fantasy...
But recently, I seem to begin to favor doujinshis especially SNK/AOT. They're really good, funny, enjoyable and best of all the fans of SNK/AOT are VERY determined and driven than any other. If you look up to tumblr and type SNK/AOT it always update every few minutes (especially if you type down Levi, he's almost 90% of SNK/AOT fandom and 7% Β otp and shippings) but since the anime ended recently it did slow down to an hour or two but I have to admit the fandom is solid and strong.

LOL 2x...I think you can keep your card 'cause I think you're a different kind of nerd...Doujinshi....In Japanese, doujin means "same person" and shi means "magazine". It's a fan-art inspired by published anime or manga by professional artist e.g I make a comic about Dick Grayson has a daughter Mary Grayson....you know, you're own version of someone else. Doujinshi can be found in comic cons, e bay, free scanned mangas, blogs, internet such as DA but mostly in pixiv or tumblr has A LOT of them. One of the reason why I go to tumblr all the time

Why don't you just google and watch it any random website ? Oh, I forgot most of them are subs and you like watching dubs...Though I love Hidenobu Kuichi's (seiyuu/voice actor) voice, he knows how to use his voice of the same character but different split personality. Also his voice is very relaxing to the ears and he's plays as the main character of the show. I not only recommend you to see this anime but also the subs version

Totally agree, I mean what's interesting about a character is how much effort or endurance they have through the journey of their life or acknowledge their own weaknesses which inspires us the most. Other superpowered characters (namely superheroes) made the whole superpower thing look so easy...

Not really, she had a surgery to make her walk, but people are nervous that one bad injury could wreck that. In this case, Joseph can use his powers, but if he gives in too much to his powers 1. He can lose control of them and himself and 2. His nervous system (and who knows what else) gets over taxed to the point he could potentially kill himself. The Deathstroke arc would remove that limitation.

I wanted you to watch Darker Than Black not only because it's a good anime but also Hei's trench coat reminded me of Joseph...but of course, Hei's outfit is more realistic, even his triangular grappling hook and his belt look cooler than Batman's for some reason....
Does Joseph has something unique about himself ? I just want to know this one of kind thing he has that makes him stand out ? Anything particular...habits, personality...etc...I know that he sometimes loses his hat, he was sick when he was young, smart, cares for his brother...

There's somethings you can't avoid especially with family craziness...There's this one time one of my MANY cousins had this wedding at the same day as Comic Fiesta (A local version of Comic Con it's not as super awesome as Comic Con but anyway...)Β , it only happens once a year (plus there's Danny Choo, Red Juice and cool events...) I begged my mom but she wouldn't let me go. I mean I have a LOT of cousins that even I couldn't remember which one of cousin is getting married...but one thing for sure, I'm getting sick of eating wedding food and helping the wedding decorations and stuff the day before the wedding (which the rest of the family and I almost collapsed from sleep deprivation or exhaustion)...Oh well, a crazy family is a fun family...

Well, it's more house related. Story goes like this. My room had to be painted due to water damage. That meant removing almost everything from my room, which is YEARS worth of junk. When the painters came, turned out the house had bed bugs (NYC seems to be undergoing a plague of them recently). So we hired an exterminator for a pricey heat treatment and we're presently in deep clean mode for that, which is basically a mini move of stuff that need to be away from the heat, etc, not to mention just an overall removal of junk. Combine that and Thanksgiving on Thursday and the first night of Hannukah the night before...its been a busy one XD And we're gonna have to stay somewhere overnight as the treatment goes on.
I got, on my dad's side, seven cousins and 3 first cousins once removed, and a plethora of other cousins. My mom I have 2 cousins, 3 first cousins once removed, and again other assorted cousins. But that is nuts if your cousin is getting married and you can't figure out which one XD Last wedding I went to was my cousin Yael's last January, that was fun.

Same here. You know, my version of Mar'i Grayson, Nightingale, Marvel also has a character of that name too but she's not a famous character and presently dead as far as I know for now. I think she's bald, african and has psychic powers...0_X Β Totally different from Mar'i who's not bald but long thick beautiful hair, a hybrid and no powers (as Nightingale that is...). There's lots of reason why I named her Nightingale, besides that the bird is famous for actively singing at night, many poets and philosophers thought that Nightingales that actively sing at night are female but in reality, it's male to mate the female, ironically Mar'i's uniform or look is very feminine, with the skirt and long hair and all...Actually's there LOTS of reason why she choose the name Nightingale (most people mistaken it for just trying to rhyme Nightwing and that it's a birds name), like stories, legends, poetry and songs about Nightingales and even its characteristics have similar things about Mar'i.
How trying to find Joseph's working name through things related to him...maybe elements or color, stories, legends or something that's near or dear to him ?
LOL !!!! Okay...okay...um...think of it as a New Year Spring Cleaning....I mean Year End....Autumn...uh Winter Cleaning ?? Okay, how about think it as a renovation to celebrate Thanksgiving and Hannukah ! Hey, since it's in deep clean mode, you don't have to worry about New Year Spring Cleaning since it will be clean until it's infested bugs and horrible drainage or other NYC disasters...Well, I can imagine the hassle since I also live in the city, not only that I live with my family of 7 people in a small 2 story house probably the size or maybe smaller than a shoe box apartment...and if anything as small as a tiny hole in a ceiling is consider a big problem as if the whole house is flooded with water...plus the electricity here always short circuit and blackouts from time to time...yet strangely I like the darkness and get excited when it's pitch black somehow.Β
My dad's side of the family has 6 siblings (and they have like not less than 4 kids) but not a lot of cousins, but my mom however has only one younger brother (who only has 2 kids) but she has a LOT of cousins that I never met before. My mom's side of the family is really mysterious, my late grandmother had siblings in which even her husband and kids didn't even knew she had, apparently Chinese like to keep sons than daughters, my grandmother's older sister and younger brother got separated due some family complications and changing names...she's half Chinese which makes me 1/8 Chinese and my mom side of the family has family members who have royal blood because my mom told stories about her going to he Sultan's palace when she was young...I really don't know much about my mom's side because she never really like talking about it much. It's weird though, because my late grandmother, my mom and I look alike...I mean, if I have a picture of each of us at as a young girl, we really look alike, 3 generations of the same face and yet I feel like I'm not close enough to either of them and that made me feel kinda sad...

Sounds like a tight fit. My dad has three siblings (my aunt and my twin uncles, my dad's the baby), my mom has one. My paternal grandpa had a sister, my grandma had a sister and a brother. My mom's mom had at least one sister I know of, and my grandpa had at least two sisters (whose names were masculinized and anglacized into my middle names). I don't know much about my mom's dad's family as the bulk were wiped out in the Holocaust.
A touching family story I learned recently was about my paternal grandmother's parents. My great grandfather was an immigrant who fell in love with the boss's daughter, who was a first generation American. They got married and he took over the family business

My dad's dad's dad had to flee Russia. What happened was that he was drafted into the Czar's army. For a Jew, that was an automatic death sentence; if the enemy didn't kill you, your Russian "comrades" would. So his father, who taught at the University of Moscow, had my Great Grandfather smuggled out of Russia into America.
