Artemis is half-Caucasian, half-Vietnamese. Ao Dai is the Vietnamese clothing she’s wearing. Made it look a bit earthy, doncha’ think?Her identity in Young Justice could be a female Connor Hawke, but I think that she may be Lian Harper. Just like, blond and not the daughter of Roy. Lian is part Vietnamese, and her death in the comics might have an incarnation in the show… or not. It’s just a guess.

~chiwawagirl has opened my eyes into realizing that Artemis is likely to be a blond Cheshire (Jade Nguyen). Pretty close, as that's Lian's mom.
~thepyve suggests a very good hypothesis that Artemis is Artemis Crock/Tigress based on name, traits and the appearance of the character's father and boyfriend w/in the first four episodes of Young Justice. Awesome.

I was kind of mad when I first saw the episode where she "dies". I thought, "Oh, of course. She dies in the comics so they have to kill her in the show." But then I saw the ending... and I knew that shit is going down.

Because of horrid writing. Forgetting that I'm a fan of the show, forgetting that I love her character, I still hate Scott Lobdell for killing her. She was killed by the end of her debut issue in the Culling. Not joking. Her death was completely pointless. The ideas was that her death would motivate the Teen Titans to hunt down the badguy... that they were already looking for. F you, Scott Lobdell.

cool!!! and what thepyve said is correct: YJ Artemis is Artemis Crock, daughter of reformed villain Paula Crock and villain Lawrence Crock/Sportsmaster, and sister of Jade Nguyen/Cheshire. of course in the comics Arty is the villain Tigress, her mom is the villain Huntress, and her dad is Sportsmaster. she and Cheshire arent related in the comics.

I think it's more probable that she be Cheshire. Think about it you know she is betraying them in some way. I've only watched a few episodes, and the way Roy treated her leads to a enemies becoming lovers type of thing. But then again it's a kids show so I don't think they would do anything to big with it or they'd confuse the hell out of children.

I honestly just think she's Green Arrow and Cheshire's kid. When Cheshire's mask was off, all I could see was that she and Artemis had the SAME eyes. Even the hair, Artemis has a little spikyness to her hair that just reminds me of Cheshire's. And Cheshire is Vietnamese, am I correct?

Yup, Cheshire is Vietnamese. You've probably seen the episode by now though, naming her Artemis Crock. Cheshire doesn't look too old though, so she might actually be Artemis' half-sister.

Yea, I read about people guessing Olivia Queen (daughter of GA & BC), but that was thrown out. They said she was an existing character though, so no hybrid. A dangerous past and Cheshire's mom and sister showing up on the show... hence the hypothesis that she might be Cheshire (although she's always been a villain). Similar clothes colors too. And who knows, maybe she'll even be a love interest to Speedy.
Sigh, no updates though. Just guesses.

Nope. Talking about the Young Justice cartoon, so, different universe. They're keeping her identity secret until she shows up (also as GA's niece).
Greg Weisman, producer of the show, said it's not Cissie, Mia, or Cassie, but she's still an existing character. Half-Vietnamese could mean she's Cheshire, or if they want a direct relation to the Arrow clan, Lian. Don't know why they made her blond though. These are guesses, btw.

The blond hair is confusing, especially with that ethnicity, but this Earth-16, different universe.
The new Aqualad here was made specifically for this cartoon. The original lineup for YJ was Tim, Bart, Conner, Cassie, Secret, Cissie, etc. But here, in this universe, it's Dick, Wally, Conner, Megan, and that character up there. I'm just saying that she could be anybody.
Don't think too hard about it.
She'll show in the cartoon in about 4 weeks.

Actually Lian's mum, Cheshire was half-Vietnamese, half-French, so Lian would only have quarter Vietnamese (? I don't know how it works). In a list of voice actors on the Young Justice Wiki they have someone listed as acting "Cheshire's mother and Cheshire's older sister" so it might even be a blonde, Green Arrow's niece version of Cheshire (the "dangerous past" would fit). I didn't even think of a female Connor Hawke though.

Thank you for correcting me. I'm not very knowledgeable about the Arrow Family... Also, I didn't look at the YJ wiki, so I didn't know Cheshire would be there. Oh, and looking her up now, she wears the green!
That Connor Hawke thing was something somebody else mentioned when I found the ethnicity of Artemis. I didn't think it's him at all, though.
