...or a fan thing of two webcomics in one, because i'm economical like that 8D VSaid webcomics are the wonderful Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name, and Hark! A Vagrant .
Based on this deservedly popular strip in the amazing Hark! A Vagrant webcomic. If you haven't seen the comic, go now! It's clever in so many delightful ways. And it's educational. Literally. Most of the strips are about historical figures, events, or literature. It's one of my favourite webcomics, even if i feel like an uneducated toothpick half the time while reading it.
i'm sorry, Toni. ;__; i wanted a female character for that panel, and the Toni/Tony genderplay on names was too much for me to resist.

I lovelovelove Kate Beaton comics. I've been a history geek ever since I was a tiny kid reading picture books about Ancient Greece. Beaton's comics reference all eras of history and poke fun at famous characters as well as displaying her knowledge of obscure (yet fascinating) events. A while ago I even managed to go to one of her panels at a con and get her to autograph stuff for me--this has, admittedly, done nothing to cure my near-obsession with Hark!a Vagrant.
And yes, you got DAwatched. Your art is damn awesome, thasswhy. Ooh, yeah, I went there.
