Beautiful drawing. All the more impressive for being largely unblended. I am sorry to admit that I rely on blending to cover up my lack of technique, although I usually add at least one layer of unblended, or very lightly blended, graphite as a finishing touch to prevent the shading looking flat.

Thank you! Yes, I tried my best to not to blend, hahaha!! So the 95% of the drawing is unblended ^_^

I think this drawing is really great and I'm glad to hear that you're not using blending tools too much! Blending could give a drawing a really messy quality and being able to make such gradual changes in shadow and light with just varying pressures is really skillful and also much more effective than just smudging things out. good work!

Thank you again! When I started blending about 15 years ago, yes, everything was a mess and it seemed dirty. Now, luckily, I have improved enough to be able to blend or erase without ruining the drawing, but my goal is to blend less everytime (in fact now I just blend, in general, about 50% of the drawing, but with this one 95% was unblended). I will keep on working to be able to draw something without any blending tool and finish it in less than 9 months, lol!

Ya know finger tips and bread crumbs work well too and sponges can give great texture if your looking to experiment with blending tools. :3 Well done!
