My favorite two tailed side kick, Miles "Tails" Prower! What can I say about this little dude besides how awesome he is? Especially in Sonic 3 when you had a chance to take advantage of his ability to fly to explore the levels, and experience a whole new perspective of the game that you wouldn't get from just playing as Sonic!
Anywho, just a lil something I wanted to whip up. Matter of fact I actually entered this into the The Sonic Show art contest [link] . Figured it be kinda fun! Other than that, I hope you guys like, cause there's plenty of more gaming stuff on the way!

Aww, he's adorable! I think alot of people underrate Tails because he's not as fast as Sonic or strong as Knuckles. The fact is that he's only 11 years old in most of the contexts where he appears (Sonic is supposedly about 16). And yet he built a freakin' AIRPLANE. How many 11-year-olds do you know that can do that? Tails is a genius on a different order from almost any other 'super genius' character in anime or Japanese games. Tails puts them all to shame by comparison.

I don't follow the comics so much as the games (where he's 8, and Sonic's 15), but in a way, I feel as if Tails is better than both Sonic and Knuckles. Β He's fast enough to keep up with Sonic, a technological genius, AND can fly naturally on top of all of that. That, along with his gradual increase in confidence and independence, and growth as a hero in his own right, make him more three-dimensional as a character, at least to me.

He's certainly a more 3-dimentional character than either Sonic or Knuckles. Sonic Team didn't really give many of the characters any depthΒ except for Shadow when he came out in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Personally,Β I find Shadow a bit annoying because his "moody badass" routine gets old REAAAALLLLY fast. Nothing is less cool to me than someone trying to be cool which is what I think Sonic Team ended up doing. The quest to avenge his dead girlfriend (who was human, wtf?!Β ) is an interesting facet of his personality though. I don't think Tails can keep up with Sonic when Sonic's going full speed, he is, after all the fastest thing alive according to the SatAM show from the 90s. I think the one thing that all he Sonic universes can agree on is this: Sonic is CRAZY fast.

Well, I didn't mean he's as fast as Sonic (no one is), only that he's fast enough to be able to follow him around and tag along on his adventures, which is why Sonic let him stay around in the first place. Besides that point, holy hell, where have you been all my life, because I agree with all of that. ESPECIALLY the part about Shadow's brooding-and-emo-and-yet-at-the-same-time-having-the-nerve-to-be-perpetually-pissed-off shtick wearing out its welcome.

Yes. Just yes. That pretty much sums up the writing and the dialogue of every Sonic title since Colors.

Despite the dialog being cruddy (except for the interactions between Knuckles as Rouge which always are awsome), I sill enjoyed Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. The story line was interesting and the gameplay was badass. Perhaps the developers could put some more work into the parts that need it, eh? The sonic games are awsome, they just lack in some areas...

Sonic Adventure 2 remains my favorite 3D Sonic, along with Unleashed (yeah, I actually like Unleashed; the good far outweighs the bad for me). Adventure 2's dialogue itself never truly sucked for me, except in a few isolated cases, but rather, the voice acting needed work, namely Connor Bringas as Tails. Then they kind of botched the treasure hunting radar, making those levels tedious, and Amy really was dead weight, having only one purpose in the entire game, but other than those three things, I loved it - The speed stages, the mech/shooter stages, the story, the music, the level design, the rival relationships (ESPECIALLY the "I hate you, but I also kinda got a thing for you" deal with Knuckles and Rouge), everything. Plus, that's when Shadow was still a well-written character. He didn't really get annoying until they added the amnesia to his attitude. True, it seems like every title has some things wrong with it that stop it being a near-perfect experience (not counting 06, of course. That one was just all around terrible).

Short, simple, stylish...this looks so great! He's always been a favorite, and I admit that I didn't catch the pun of his name until I was older.
Your way of presenting him looks very good, and I can't help but grin due to nostalgia. Keep up the great work!

Woah, cuteness overload there.
I don't know how you did it, but I think you somehow trumped even Classic Tail's cuteness with this one.
But besides that, this is a very unique style of drawing Tails. You've essentially taken off every sharp edge of his design, and given him a, shall we say, more "well rounded" personality *shot dead*.
It seems to work quite well though. Very nice job!
