After a 3 mile drive down a one lane gravel road, then a short hike through the woods, you come across what I feel is one of the most beautiful small bodies of water I've ever witnessed. This picture only captures a glimpse of the real beauty of this natural spring in Missouri.Related content

take 55 south to 67, then 67 south to Farmington, take 72 west to highway 21, then 21 to Ellington, then 106 west (towards Eminence)
turn left at sign for Blue Springs, 3 miles down narrow gravel road, park,then about 1/4 mile walk to the headwaters of Blue Springs....
i see you have alot of pics of Alton...when I was in High School, I remember riding my bicycle across the train bridge to Alton...if only i had a camera back then!

wow, that's really cool. the water is so blue it looks really thick. looks more like a pool of goo than water.
