sorrounded by darkness, there is light in the center, and bright colors that catch your sight immediately and focus on the model's face. the hair/makeup is outstanding. the model's pose and expression are so sublime regardless of the snakes. There is something very raw and primitive about this piece. Besides interesting, it is a great photo all aroud. the main subject, the girl, with her soft skin is contrasted explendidly by the roughness of the ropes and the texture of the snakes. It is interesting to realize that there are snakes coming out of her head. her forehead suggests that she might be a snake herself in human disguise.

When I see a very beautiful model get very made-up and decorated, I sometimes wonder whether the result is better than the original. I feel this myself when I paint a model and stick things on her. But I think this series is very cool. I see you give yourself to art rather than want to be beautified all the time.
