Sold.

So finally, after moving houses, a lot of drama, yet another quick drawing... four hours at the most, felt like much less..
water colour paper, Da Capo, A3
used 2H, a bit of HB, a bit more 2B, lotsa 4B, and some weird black 6B pencil..
a customised smudger pen (dont know how to call it ) with a pin poked into one end..

Storytime for the reading enthusiasts...

when i was a little kid, we had this familiy friend come over once a year from America to Germany... I don't know how the whole accaintance started, but we grew very close throughout the years..
It was nothing spectacular, our mutual trust, not something, that you yell out into the world, but our bond was, and is, just natural.
He noticed my drawing talent when i was a little kid, and gave me a postcard to draw for him. He gave me the money straight away, and no later i began drawing it, but soon id leave and forget the project...
I started it again, throughout my life. Randomly, i'd take the postcard and start drawing it, just to leave it unfinished.

Several years later, on yet anther continent, veni, vidi, vici, I came, i looked, and i finished it in a split second well... almost..

And the pure beauty of this postcard reveals itself to me only one bit at a time, the moment of perfect, un-hyped, natural trust and friendship,
the kind where you just sit leaning back to back on a bench watching the sunset,
where you go the deli and buy two cones of icecream without even thinking who the second one is for,
where you see each other and don't have to talk, you just know both of you feel the same,
where you both just live in the moment,
soaking up the peacefulness,
closing your eyes and letting the waves of tranquility swish over your mind,
you don't worry,
just be,
that is, what this postcard means to me.
