I was on break, at work, bored beyond tears, and I started wandering...and this popped into my head. Seriously, though, how would you train a shirshu not to lick? The way you train a dog is to show it what it did wrong immediately after the fact, and scold it, etc, but ...well...I think you can see the problem here...

For those of you who don't know Avatar, this is a young Jun (a bounty hunter) attempting to train her new Shirshu, a wolflike creature that finds its way through the world solely by scent, and has a very long tongue, at the tip which is a barb loaded with a mild but effective paralytic, as Jun has just discovered. Again.
