6 hours spent on this. 1 hour to basically "redo" the linework from the sketch without tracing (since my computer printer paper is too thick to use for tracing), 1 hour of laying out all the basic shading, 4 hours of obsessive meticulous shading. 100% PENCIL ;DAlthough my scanner SLAUGHTERED the shading you should still FULL VIEW for juicy details.
Requested by who wanted me to draw my perfect girl. I had to think on this one and I've decided on this ^.^
She's sexy, strong, independant, caring, rich, powerful, kind, cool, open-minded, intelligent, and I have no chance of having someone like her but it's fantasy so huzzah.
Omg are those two bodyguards the guys from Mutual?? answer: yes [link] . Will you explain their backstory? answer: probrably not
Fun thing to do with this deviation >> go to the sketch of it and spot all the changes I've made while working on the final draft [link]
Also thank u for her journal which included a FAQ where she explains how she works with mechanical pencils. I have learned a valuable lesson to start out soft and work into darkness (I ussually draw really dark and sketchy ;D).

You did a splendid job on the details of the clothes. The thumbnails did the picture no justice. The expression of the bodyguard on the left is my favorite, mostly because he looks so relaxed despite the gun pointed right at you. I also noticed the various positionings of each weapon: neutral, offensive (left), and defensive (right).
I noticed something that seemed off to me, but for the bodyguard on the left, is the gun really large or is his hand somewhat smaller?

Beautiful shading and lovely textures. Im honestly really impressed at your ability to render such amazingly detailed peices without overly crowding them. Its simply awsome and extreamely well done, sorry for not commenting sooner

I love all the different directions the pencil is going. This is definitely your best work, in my opinion. I bet the original is stunning.

Technically it is tied for best with my other deviation Xia (Xia is in sharpie and pen so it's kinda in a different category). But the concept isn't the best and I didn't add a background because pencil backgrounds are frankly... hard. Very very hard. And thank you I worked very hard on this one ^.^ glad it shows even after scanner processing.

Haha. You'll be devastated to know that your perfect girl lives in Irealnd. I went to college with her a few years ago. Her name is Grace and this could be a drawing of her. The likeness is uncanny

I just started humbing the theme to Pulp Fiction. Love how the seeming leader is petite, its awesome. The line work is very well drawn and works perfectly with the soft shading. Excellent work

thumbed view doesn't serve this piece justice. I like your use of hatching and how the lines flow well to the form of the subject. This works especially well for the bodyguard on the right. It makes his jacket look like it's made of fine reflective silk.
one of the challenges of using the pencil medium is to have an absence of an outline and clean transitions. wow. you really got that part down. lucky you
although I am curious to know what this could have looked like if you incorporated more shading techniques to add more depth.

yea I have trouble doing depth with mechanical pencil because I have a tendency to shade isolated places instead of shading in general. If I shade in general small details and sharp contrasts won't come out as nice though so I don't know what to do >.<
