I finaly finished my entry for 's contest
The theme is draw Spyro character(s) and or American Dragon character(s) celabrating Chinese new year, or more specificly, the year of the dragon 
Even with out the contest, I felt like doing this picture 
And I'm very happy with its result! Anyway, enjoy ^^

Oh wow, I read the date wrong. Sorry, I thought it said it was posted in 2013 rather than 2012. That makes a lot more sense.

It's posted in 2012 which is the Year of the Dragon at the time and it comes every 12 years. It began on the 23rd January and ended on the 7th February. However, the Year of the Dragon ended last month.

Or maybe not. I think I've seen something similar with the Jake Long version in the newer style. Maybe that's what I was thinking of.

No. I just thought for a moment that the date posted said it was done in 2013 rather than 2012. I have seen this piece before, but it was months ago, which lead to my confusion. Now that I see you posted this in February of 2012 I am much more at ease.

Due to the sudden change of the rules, that artwork is no longer in my group. Besides, I liked 's fanart better. Bottom line, the rules have changed and well, people change. So, you have to face reality.

Currently, your contest entry is in the running for the top three so pretty much the previous rankings that appeared in one of the old journal entries is obviously outdated so please ignore that. 
Oh, and the points system has been slightly changed which I'll explain in the future hopefully before the end of the Year of the Dragon. For you and some people, bonus points ain't the only thing you'll be obtaining. So far, I don't see anything wrong and you've obviously have done your research in terms of the Chinese culture. 
Lol, I just realised that there's actually Year of the Dragon-themed levels in Angry Birds. 
Anyway, enough about that, you've truly out done yourself what with the Chinese lanterns and the fireworks lighting up the darkened sky and whatnot, not to mention all those vivid colours illuminating all over the place. 
I'd better re-check the poll, methinks.

Speaking of cartoons, I've found some videos on youtube of a cartoon I watched when I was little. I only ever saw a few episodes though since it was a one video I had. It was in french too

Haha ! I used to read the comic of baby Spirou but not the adult ones, it's too serious compare to what I usualy read like AstΓ©rix for exemple but I loved the cartoon so maybe the comics are good too if you like the style

I mostly just know a few of the animated films, and had one on video (in english). But the comic books look good as well.
I actualy vagualy recognise him, must have seen him before somewhere... The kid Spirou does seem pretty different from the adult one XD

ASDKFJLASFD--I NEVER EVEN REALIZED THAT THEY BOTH SKATEBOARD. NOW IT'S SO OBVIOUS.
VERY nice job on the picture - the lighting effects are gorgeous and really sell that Fireworks Factory night feel. (At least, I assume Fireworks Factory...fireworks tend to do that.)
Though I can't tell if that tiny yellow one in the lower-right is a firework about to go off or Sparx trying to keep up with the boys and their mad skate skills. XD
