Not really part of the "Inner Demon" crew
because I personally don't see it as that much of a Bad thing
it just is what it is
that being that I have no friends
in terms of me not using the word "Friends" to describe a relationship of that matter
as that term is tied to conditions and expectations that I'm just not capable or willing to give
saying "I thought we are/were Friends" just sounds like you hoped for special perks/treatment
which also makes it feel more like a Chore than something you'd enjoy having-
And So I much rather say "Pal"- which is way more loosely defined and doesn't sound too close, so it's has a wider Range as well

the only time where I'll make an exception is when referring to my old School Friends for random anecdotes
because back in School the definition for Friendship was different
