(Sorry for the weird quality, I took a picture instead of scanning it like usual)Another Sonic Underground redesign. Sonia's is probably the most drastic, seeing as I completely nixed the red in her outfit and replaced it with light blue and purple. Her dress, shoes, and stockings are a bit more modern now, and her hair no longer resembles a mullet sculpted from cotton candy (seriously, Sonia, start using a better conditioner. Or better, get a pixie cut).
As with Manic, this version of Sonia also fits in my reboot/ AU. Here, she is a piano prodigy and often plays classical pieces at concerts, and improvising soft jazz pieces is how she relaxes. She helps write most of the songs for Sonic Underground, and you can usually tell what sort of mood she's in by the music she's playing. While Sonic has his speed, Sonia is gifted with superhuman strength, and with the training she later receives, she can hold her own against folks like Knuckles and even Metal Sonic. However, she's still very girly and condescending, and too often makes snap judgments about things she doesn't completely understand (like poverty and incarceration). She is also the most educated of the the three, seeing as she was given a formal education that neither Sonic nor Manic had the opportunity for.

Pretty cool that you gave her hair darker tips! Even better is that you went with two tones for her hair, I really like the dark tips!
That dress looks a whole lot better in design. I like how you rendered her belt. Those boots look snazzy too! Cool gloves!
I know you said the quality isn't as good since it's a photo and not a scan (I know how that feels) but I still love the vibrant colors in this! I absolutely Love your shading job! It's most noticeable in her purple attire! And it looks very professional!

As I said in my Manic comment in your Manic the Hedgehog Redesign I feel that in order to have a Sonic characters feel fast, they should have this streamlined look to them.
Sonia's dress and gloves, like Blaze's tights, are very close-fitting, which in this case means that they won't billow out when she runs, hence, she chose those to be her main battle-dress (I can assume she has a dress for every occasion, and if she doesn't then she will stop at the mall to look for one--Much to the groan-filled dismay of her brothers) "Oh come ON! SONIA! WE'RE ON A MISSION!" *TAP* *TAP* *TAP* *TAP* *TAP*.
"Alright...Just after this dress, boys."
"You said that five dresses ago!"
"I know, but this time I mean it!"
"You said THAT five dresses ago, too!"
The only thing really wrong with this color-combination is that it seems a tad too much like Blaze's, but chalk that up to me being picky. She still looks different enough.
Her long-gloves give off a sense of royalty, which suits her prim and proper-ness. And her quilldo gives off a sense of spunk which makes her more akin to Sonic visually.
