~ Flaming Heart~Another lighting practice; this time with complimentary colour.
Perhaps I should stick to just one light source for now, and more B&W study.

But your picture captivated me, the level at which you did very well, the way the hair flies by a gust of wind as the hair itself is a complicated part of the drawing, since the form of undulation that takes the hair in the wind on a real person, is that the hair can be separated in different directions. esta precioso, es lo primero que voy a decir, la verdad hace ya bastante tiempo que no hago una critica y estoy un poco oxidado. Pero tu dibujo me cautivo, el nivel con el que lo hiciste es muy bueno, la forma en que el cabello vuela por una rafaga de viento como el cabello en si es una de las parte complicadas del dibujo, ya que la forma de ondulacion que toma el cabello por el viento en una persona real, es que el cabello puede separarse en diferentes direcciones. E n ese punto lo realizaste muy bien. Algo que me atrapa en los dibujos son los ojos, y son los que demuestra como esta en realidad el personaje, los detalles que estan muy bien hecho son algo que elogiar. Si lo dejo corto el dibujo esta muy bien realizado sos una / un gran artista, y la sensacion que me dejo tu obra es de tranquilidad, a mi parecer es como si el personaje estuviera en paz con todo el universo y trasmite esa paz a otros.
El dibujo es original en el sentido de como vos expresas a este personaje, pero como es la creacion de otro (MLPfim), por eso el puntaje en originalidad.

You were right when you said complimentary colors were used. It was amazingly done, for one, from the amazing shading and lighting that you did. You made this look almost 3-D for me, and the leaves in the background put life to the picture, as well as the mane and how much life it puts into it.
I love pictures like this, for it makes me feel almost as though it'll come out of the paper (or in this case, computer screen) to me. You did a truly amazing job on this picture, and that is actually a lot coming from me, because I'm one to where it's difficult to get me to say you did a damn good job, or put it in my favorites like I'll do with this picture after I'm done writing this critique.
Overall, this picture is the kind that I'd love to look at, and wish to draw myself eventually (though I'm not that good at art myself in my opinion), so I could appreciate my art as much as I appreciate this. This is actually saying quite a bit since I'm not exactly fond of Fleur myself, and I just love this picture.

For studying color, this came out very nice, you definitely accomplished the ends you wanted. The color contrast is the first thing I notice. There's also the details in her mane with the strands of hair that really accent the picture, as well as the flecks of leaves and lights around the background.
As far as the lighting shape goes, it does seem rather soft, and a little formless at some parts, which makes the fall off feel a tad inconsistent here and there. I'm slightly confused about the falloff on her back. I can tell the primary light source mostly comes from the right, slightly down, though the way it falls off on her back makes it look like there's a portion of her side that is oddly shaped. Conversely, I think the lighting on the ear might not be smooth enough, or that the inside should 'catch' a little more light as it's facing the primary source.
One thing I'd suggest around the eye is a little more definition around the edge as well, as well as a little more focus on the reflection. Making the reflection a solid color and then applying some glow to it. (I find eyes really fun to detail, so maybe I'm overestimating. 8D)
As far as anatomy goes, most everything seems acceptable given the style you approached. The eye might be a little big, but it doesn't negatively affect the piece really. Though, the nose seems oddly simple: giving it a little more concave feel as opposed to just a hole might look better.
And, again, I'm really loving the colors, especially with the tiny additional lightsources, as well as the mane, with the highlights and strands. Overall excellent work.

An amazing show of imagination, to have even ten percent of your talent would be a dream come true... and yet I see this in scraps... huh...

Beautiful, I love especially the mane. With those leaves and glitter flowing around and the lighting, the picture looks quite dynamic despite a rather static pose (well, at least as I see it). Just one thing about the shoulder - in my opinion, it looks slightly exaggerated, making her look a tad anthro. Not a serious issue, though, I didn't even notice it right away (probably because I was busy admiring the mane 
Too bad it has too square aspect ratio, otherwise I would love to set it as my new wallpaper (trimming would shave off way too much of it and simple borders on the sides wouldn't look so good either).

I'm pretty sure that in the show the ponies legs bend both ways, not that it makes sense in real life......

If a front leg is ever show going the "other way" it is usually bent out then up. I don't recall them ever over extending past what would be considered "straight".

[link] and [link] are examples of when the walking motion is fully shown usually though the animates just take the easier way and draw it like so [link] which gives it the appearance of the legs only bending forward....I think.....
