Would be fun to remake this, definitely some things I'd like to improve. Though I think if I'd slow down the gain, there also wouldn't be as much gain happening in the end!

This is wonderful! have you thought about displaying all 17 frames side by side? For reference purposes?
There's not a lot of art out there as accurate as this that shows the subtle differences in a gain sequence.
