I am really sorry, but after LoE it became near-impossible task to accomplish.

Another thing I want to say is...MLP is mainly a kids show by Hasbro...
In addition to that, Twilight is the main character and also a princess...
So... I think the chances of having SunLight ships canon are nearly-impossible.
But we're shippers right? We can ship whatever we want.
The important thing is to RESPECT other ships.
If you don't like that, just walk away or ignore it.
It will be cool for both shippers you know?
There is nothing to be angry about and say to the other shippers what they should ship and what they shouldn’t ship.
No one loves to see someone saying BAD things about their ships.
Please, just don't say it and keep them in your heart and everything will be great!

Yeah, I know that feel. When I saw LoE I feel very upset too.
Not just because of Sci-Twi...Actually, she reminds me that both Twilight are so easy to fall in love with someone.
But I think sometimes people take happiness for granted.
Only when they lose their loved ones that they finally understand how important happiness can be.
It is because of someone who truly loves you and were protecting the happiness for you.
Just like pony Twilight when Sunset was not by her side in Ponyville.
From the comic we know that she found an old photo of Sunset and has kept contact with her every night.
So...I think one day when Sunset goes back to Ponyville. She will start to notice how important she is.
If she can find the human Sunset, I bet she will 100% cherish her and love her.
BTW...It's just my opinion.
