A couple of sad things happend lately, so to cheer myself up I tried to draw something cute and fluffy and pointless, like one of the many shipping memes floating around dA.It's just for fun and not at all good and shall be scrapped later, but it helped a bit.
So here's my "fleet" - the ships I've been supporting over the years in different fandoms:
The most favourite
The Bentley-driving demon and the book-loving angel (also known as Flash Bastard and Southern Pansy) from N. Gaiman and T. Pratchett's "Good Omens" - I ship them so hard.
The most recent
The hippie and the archaeologist from the BBC's "Doctor Who". I've been shipping them since series 5, so recent developments made me squee with glee... and weep from heartbreak.
The sweetest
The thieving actor and the summoning princess, from Square's "Final Fantasy IX". I love them dearly, and I wonder if their children would have both a tail and a horn...? X)
The most passionate
The colonel and the lieutnant from Hiromu Arakawa's "Fullmetal Alchemist". Though there's no on-screen evidence, I'm sure that in private they are very passionate indeed.
The most complicated
Feliks and Taurys from Hidekaz Himaruya's "Axis Powers Hetalia". Because real politics are complicated and I hope one day bilateral relations will be as good as in the manga again ;_;
The most unexpected
The tailor and the 'gourmet' from Kubo Tite's "Bleach". Unexpected because I really don't know why but I find this crack ship absolutely adorable <3
The funniest
The rich idiot and the commoner from Hattori Bisco's "Ouran High School Host Club". I have a weakness for fictional idiots and love Tamaki dearly, and the ship just warms my heart.
The most tragic
The dwarf king and the werewolf from Terry Pratchett's City Watch/Discworld novels. Tragic because Carrot really, really wouldn't mind having puppies... ;__;
Family
The boy who survived and the insufferable know-it-all from J.K.Rowling's "Harry Potter" novels. I've been shipping them since book 2 and joined the 'Finally!!' chorus X)
Best friends
Moony and Padfoot, also from J.K.Rowling's "Harry Potter" novels. I love them both as a couple and as just friends, and I ship Remus/Tonks, too - I'm sure he loved both the same!
Manga pairing #1
The politician and the mecha pilot from Studio Sunrise's "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED". They are just adorable, and of course in my headcanon, that horrible sequel never happened ò_ó

Two Go playing junior highschoolers from T. Obata and Y. Hotta's "Hikaru no Go". They were my very first slash ship back in the days when I first found out there's such a thing as slash XD

(and me too, I was sad when the story moved away from Kaze High to the Insei guys, they just waren't as fun and intersting as Kaga, Tsutsi, Mitani, Akari and the rest...
I totally shipped Mitani and Kaneko (y'know, the chubby grumpy girl) too - they were like my proto-Pizes!

I remember so little of HikaGo right now because I've read it years ago and then the friend who was lending it to me dropped it...but I remember clearly of Kaga and Tsutsui because of their funny names and I actually remember quite well their characters too o_o
And yes, I remember that I was less interested in it chapter after chapter...but I don't remember about Mitani and Kaneko ;_; I googled them and I remember something about Mitani but not shipping him with Kaneko, and for what you said I would absolutely ship them too so simply I probably didn't reach that point u_u...

I LOVE Tamaki/Haruhi. It's kinda weird that all the boys loved her, though, I never really got that... though, however cute they are, my favourite character will always be MORI!!

I suppose they find her refreshing and original with her no-nonsense, a bit sarcastic ways - especially compared to all those cuesy rich princess-types they're usually surrounded by...?
Just my impression.
I really love Haruhi as a character, and how she finds Tamaki absolutely ridiculous but can' help loving him.

Roy and Riza has got to be one of my favorite pairings of all time. There's nothing shown on screen or in the manga, but I can totally tell there's some subtle romance going on. It's obvious they care about each other on a personal level.
I'm rereading Good Omens and I think you are converting me to that pairing. They argue like an old married couple, it only makes sense XD
Poland and Lithuania is a cute couple in the manga, but in real life it's a lot, lot more complicated which kind of ruins the image Himaruya created...real life is serious business.
Ron and Hermione will always be one of my favorite Harry Potter pairings; they may argue and seem to hate each other at certain points but I honestly can't see them fitting with anyone else besides each other. Harmonians are mad

I support all canon ships in FMA by the way, they are all so likable and believable and cute <3

Yes, it's a shame - but hey, Poland gave 12 points to Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest (Lithuania couldn't give any back since Poland hadn't made it to the fianls) so maybe that'll improve relations a bit...? XDDD
Yes, I always maintain the attitude that shipping is not serious business, despite what other deranged fans might believe. It's nearly impossible to say two characters' names in the same sentence when talking with fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender- at least one person will end up despising you no matter what you ship DX
Canon ships in FMA are amazing! I love Ed/Winry, Roy/Riza, and Lin(g)/Lanfan, they're all really well done and not too sappy; they're perfectly believable which is really rare in manga/anime.
Every time I read a section with them bickering to each other, I can't help but go 'Baww' in my mind XD And I have to agree there, they're great as a couple or best friends. I think it was that adorable comic you did of them that convinced me

Yes, I heard about the ship wars in the ATLA fandom - Kataang vzw Zutaka, right? *rollseyes*
Though I adore this series, I somehow never got into the fandom that much, so luckily I only witnessed that from far far away - and somehow ATLA is one of the few series where I wasn't interesting in the romance at all, there was so much other much more thrilling stuff going on... also, I thought the characters were too young pair up, really.
I totally agree with you, all FMA canon ships are fantastic - there is so much wonderful equality between the partners, I love how they respect each other <3 And yes, that's unfortunately still very rare in Japanese productions... =_=
Oh, and speaking of FMA canon pairings, I also love Al/Mei a lot!

I was never into shipping the ATLA characters either, for the same reasons. Romance was not as much of a factor in that series; sure there were a few romantic moments but nothing that made me want to ship anything. I think it was also the age, like you said.
My god, the shipping wars! You couldn't look at a good piece of fanart for one ship without it being flamed by the other -_-
Al/Mei is pretty adorable but I'll probably like it more when he gets his original body back (I refuse to read online manga so I'm still a few volumes from the end)

Spoiled? My friends spoiled that part for me when the last chapter came out online, so I already know that he gets it back at the end. But I don't know what happens to Winry, Roy, Riza, etc. so I'm waiting patiently for the next volume.

Ach, für mich hat Band 6 nicht an Sirius/Remus gerüttelt - ich hab Tonks ja auch extrem gern, und wie heißt es so schön? "Ein bisschen bi schadet nie", von daher hat Remus in meinem Headcanon einfach beide geliebt und basta X3

Was, du schuldest mir noch ein zweites Sirius-Remus-Fanart? Warum denn das, ich hab doch schon ein megaschönes bei mir am kasten hängen (weißt eh, das mit dem du damals bei der Aninite den FA-WB gewonnen hast)
Ich freu mich zwar immer über Bilder für mich aber du brauchst mir zwirklich kein zweites zeichnen, solltest du das irgendwann versprochen haben oder so!!

Of course there were some great scenes (especially the "Toby!" - "Rory!!" - "The TARDIS!!!" one was pure gold) but also so many plotholes and many things made no sense, I somehow couldn't fully enjoy it. I don't say it was terrible, just meh.
I'm looking forward to the next one, the much awaited Neil Gaiman episode, though. I'm sure it will be fantastic <333

I don't really care for Gaiman, I only fear he'd do what he always does (in my opinion anyway): he has a lot of potential which he doesn't use and it's even more frustrating to me than poorly written story. But I guess he had Moffat above, so it'll be good. And I love the scenery.
