Full body of my states. not sure if this is going to be their official colors/clothes, but meh, I guess this could work too.give me some advice people ><
from left ---> right: Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina.
btw, this is their official height differences. I'm not planning to change that
oh Georgia, you're such a shorty :3also, I'm drawing these in the order of when each state officially became part of the US; another words, Delaware is the oldest state, Hawaii is the youngest.

OKAY, you have a sketch page w/ NJ, and (because my history asignment is in the victorian era and my english assignment is on flappers and they pretty much all have the same hair,) my mind is shot and I thought that in your sketch page, NJ was female b/c of the curly waves.
In simpler terms, I completly forgot dreadlocks even exsisted... *facepalm*
With the picture though, I LOVE IT.
Just (as you sugested on your page,) I have some things that might help with stereotypical acuracy.
While it is true that NJ is mostly wood and farmland, I don't think he should be presented in such way. He's so much more of an asshole than that. (I love my state.)
On the current version: I love the height. NJ is either super tall or thinks he is, no doubt. Tight black shirt? Also liken' the direction. Especially the shoelessness.
Things I might change? How the pants hug the legs. If anything, NJ would feel that a tight shirt would show off his abs (...) but that pants should be loose and fairly baggy. I like the shorts aspect though. The eyes... maybe a shade or too darker in color.
Things I might add: Sunglasses. He definately doesn't need them, but he definately thinks he's cool with them. Not even strictly for his eyes- a huge pair with the ends hooked on a pant pocket would be fine, so long as he thinks he looks cool by having them.
When I think, personally, of Jersey, (as my home state,) I think either Northern Jersey Mob-boss types, Radioactve-waste-like 'raver' personalities, or a more beachish theme as you have here. Spring break does a lot to Jersey, after all.
Just food for thought- NJ is rich, but dumb. Good looking, but a jackass. Over-bearingly brotherly and loyal, but could care less about the safety or wellbeing of anyone who pisses him off. He likes sports but not as much as other guys- he doesn't care who wins, so long as he can bet on a fight. He's secretive but (becasue he isn't all that smart,) resorts to scaring you into accepting his rather abrupt subject-changes.
Hope this doesn't offend anyone... I've lived in Jersey my whole life, but what do I know?
