I wanna start off to say thank you to and staff for this opportunity.

My piece is titled Rising and the media is digital art.

In spring day a lot of motifs of "youth, naivety, ignorance, and idealism" stood out to me.
While in Not today it was more about Not accepting defeat, and fighting worldly struggles.
So while painting this piece I made 'spring day Namjoon' colorful and dream-like to express a sense of aerial-ness. Opposed to 'not today Namjoon' who looks more palpable and solid.

In the beginning of Not today there is a gun shot and the members falling to their demise. A theory interpreted it as the possible future if they were to give up; I used that idea to connect the two music videos. The line goes through Namjoon represents the 'Gunshot'. However it's not his current-self that is affected, but his past self(spring day). Because Namjoon looks toward the future he can't be Naive(safe) from the truth anymore ,and has to move on. The bullet can also represents hardship. Hardships that made him struggle he can now fight while looking forward. Another interpretation is that in order to move forward Namjoon lets go of his naivety and safety for a better future (with friends). It can be interpreted anyway.
