Do you use some kind of skeletal reference when drawing body art? Like, stick figures with circles?

Oh, you mean like guidelines? No. First I sketch out what the picture would look like, with none of that skeletal references, of course.
I've always found guidelines somewhat... time-consuming, because my pictures end up the same with or without them. Idk, that's just me. I kind of wish I knew how to use them. Guidelines look great with sketches and WIPs. xD

Wow, you are talented. I use guidlines when I use my tablet, but I don't use it when I just use a pencil and paperr.

I never know what to draw, even when people say, "Draw anything." That's not very descriptive and doesn't really help. I just have sketches of different body parts here and there when I'm bored at school. Nothing 'finished', but I still don't have any idea what to draw.

Same here! How am I suppose to get inspired to draw from "anything?" It just doesn't work. =3= I have doodle all over my papers all the time... maybe an eye, or a leg, or a head of hair ( all of which I erase afterwards. I don't want my teachers looking at it and be all like "Wth is that?" ). Sigh. Artist block is the bane of my existence.

LOL, I don't necessarily get comments like that. xD But don't you hate it how people are all like "Omg, wth is that?" when you're not even 1/4 of the way done drawing the picture yet? I'm always like "God! Wait till it's finished, okay?!"... in my mind of course. I'm a wimp, so I just say "Oh... it's not finished yet."
